Not sure about that Pubs, I read a biography of Cloughie recently and he was very complimentary of us, the fans and our tradition.
"Even men with steel hearts love to see a dog on the pitch". It generates a warmth around the ground that augurs well for mankind and that's what life's about. Trouble is these days you never see a dog on the pitch".

Is this the same Cloughie who before this recent biography made disgusting accusations about our fans post Hillsborough?

Anyway, my point was regarding the two sets of fans who followed the clubs when they were going toe to toe in the late 70's when Clough and Paisley managed the respective clubs. Perhaps i might have been more specific making my point earlier in this thread mate.

We battered their European record. Knocked them out of a few FA Cup semi-finals

Yeah I think Forest hate us cos we prevented them from winning pretty much everything. Yes they won 2 European Cups and one (one?) league title, but had it not been for our mind-boggling brilliance in the late 70s and throughout the 80s, they would've won a hell of a lot more.

I think Stuart Pearce confessed to loathing us for those reasons in his autobiography.

They also despise being referred to as 'Notts' Forest.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Their fans get worse every year. The “Naughty Forties” must be in their fifties now but they do seem to get worse. I know a few Forest lads and they’re “rolling back the years”.

I’m only guessing but I imagine the main reason is that it’s a backlash against their demise – suppressed anger at what’s happened to their club. Also the young uns, as we’ve seen with us and the Blues, trying to get in on the act and emulate their seniors.

Add to that the fact they still ****ing hate us with a passion, then it’s got all the ingredients for bit of a barney.

              STAND, LADS! STAAAAAAAAAAAND!
Sound. Cant wait for this one.

What are the ticket criteria going to be? We only had 1 fa cup game last year, but it was at home.

So they probably wont sell this away tie based on home loyalty, will they?

I bet it's open fecking season again, sticking 2 fingers up to those who get off their arses...

I really hope we get my hometown team (forest). The banters already started with some of my mates who are forest fans. I will definitely be going to the match and I'll be sitting with the forest fans, (probably A-Block section). I might end up either knocking someone out or gettiing knocked out myself when cheering if/when Liverpool score.

Good. So when I've had a few to drink after my daughter's christening I can watch the game, and hopefully we'll be playing Forest and we beat them so I can wind up my uncle and cause my Dad to get all moany again.
                      I live with Steptoe.
