Gerrard should be able to score 20+ if he can stay fit.

The rest of them should be able to score at least ten.

    That means 30-40 goals/season.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

That will be almost as easy as Tevez getting 20 goals this season for United

I will be happy if he don't get 20+ for them. That means one step closer for us to win the title and £50 to HJC.

If I do that then he will end up scoring 20+ but you will probably end up as the winner this time

I never win bets like this, I can't remember the last time I did that

Lucas is not a defensive midfielder he is only keeping the shackles on because gerrard is giving the license to bomb forward. When he came on for gerrard against everton he was going forward alot more. I think he is a great player very much reminds me of fabergas.

In fact I said to my dad last week that it wouldnt surprise me if they are talking about Lucas in the same glowing terms as Fabregas in a year or two

He played in the same position in Brazil for Gremio.

The problem in my opinion is that the wide players haven't been contributing enough goals, the likes of Man Utd, Arsenal and Chelsea have usually had their 2 wide players (Giggs, Beckham, Ronaldo, Robben, etc) chipping in with about 10-15 goals a season each, in central midfield they usually have one player who would make double figures and the holding player with 2 or 3.

Our central midfield has probably been able to match them for goals, where we've been let down is with wide players scoring goals

Weve just banged 21 goals in 5 games, I personally couldnt give a **** what position they were scored from.

i don't know about that. it changed from season to season i'd say.
when chelsea had their wingers scoring most of the goals their strikers didn't score much and vice versa.
arsenal's central midfield didn't score many goals so fabregas is the first cm for years who's scored regulary for them.
if you look at united it's been the wingers (or rather the winger) who scored most of the goals whereas their cm didn't contribute much (although when they did score they scored important goals).

but of course the more dangerous players you have across midfield the better

But surely we've gone a long way to rectifying that?

This season our strikers have scored 28 of our 51; so the rest of the team is clearly chipping in more.

Benyaoun, Babel and Kewell are 3 incredible options we never had last season. Add to that Stevie is only 2 goals away from his total for last season. I think Rafa identified the need to score goals from all quarters and we are seeing the effects of that.

I read somewhere that we are already 2/3rd of the way to matching all the goals the team scored last season.

As for Lucas, he is going to be a legend, I'm convinced. His statement about getting forward and scoring goals when he has more confidence reminds me a lot of Fabregas who has started doing that this season, whereas when he started out he operated far deeper.

Lucas eye for the right pass is incredible for someone so young.

He could very well turn out to be Rafa's best ever signing.

He certainly has the potential but it's a bit early to be making such lofty predictions.

He has certainly looked very composed since coming into the team and I look forward to seeing more of him as the season develops.
