Celtic and Rangers both have some very, very good fans as well as a ****load of complete and utter numpties!
The thing that reallly winds me up about them though is this - have a look at the next Old Firm Derby and see how many Saltires are visible versus Union Flags on the Rangers side and Irish Tricolours for Celtic.
It's a disgrace.

The scum link surfaced a few years ago when some woman claimed her and her choir sang YNWA at a memorial service at OT shortly after the Munich disaster, she was on the telly and everything
The senile old biddie has since been discredited as other members of the choir came forward and said that it was "Abide with Me" and not YNWA that was sung that dayLawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"

Imagine if that was still the tradition, Kop singing Leona LewisOriginally posted by Lecter View PostJust before each game in the 60's the current No.1 single was played
The Kop use to sing along (there is footage on the Official History DVD of the Kop singing She Loves You by the Beatles)
You'll Never Walk Alone reached No.1 and it stuck even when it was knocked off top spot the Kop kept singing it
So they did away with playing the current No.1 single and now play You'll Never Walk Alone instead
We come not to play.

Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"

no-one on here seems to know the answer to "YOU'LL NEVER WALK ALONE" so let me enlighten you all:
The following year from the hillsbrough disaster, liverpool fc played a friendly/memorial/fund raising game against celtic. Before the game, liverpool fc gave out sheets of the lyrics to this song to all the celtic supporters as they entered the stadium. They were asked if they would sing along with the liverpool fans to show respect and solidarity - which they did and it was ****ing great to hear. Following on from this the celtic supporters club chairman asked permission to adopt the song as their own from someone (dont know who) at liverpool or a supporters club and permission was given. Since then celtic have sang this song.
On another matter, i am a huge liverpool fan ("cut me i bleed red" as dalglish(?) once said) but as there has always been mutual respect between us, i also like to follow celtic and like to see them do well. p.s **** rangers they are the gay side of scottish football - biggots, racists, fascists, hooligans and just full of poofness!!!!!People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Whilst partly factually correct (and I am sure many on here already knew that)..........Celtic now claim to have sung it before we did
The match you refer to was shortly (2-3 weeks) after Hillsborough, and it was our first game since the disaster
Celtic probably have some of the idiots, who follow every team, wanting to be the "first"
unfortunately the " who sung it first" debate has become somewhat of an urban Myth/legend
in an earlier post on this thread I cleared up the scum claim, now we need someone from Celtic to come out and disprove the claim of the minority of the Celtic supporters
I can also confirm Lecters account ( earlier in this thread) of how we started singing it is 100 % correct
So before you enlighten anyone else I suggest you get your facts correct on an issue which still causes many of us a great deal of painLast edited by Iceman; 06-12-07, 03:37 AM.Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
