Just before each game in the 60's the current No.1 single was played
The Kop use to sing along (there is footage on the Official History DVD of the Kop singing She Loves You by the Beatles)
You'll Never Walk Alone reached No.1 and it stuck even when it was knocked off top spot the Kop kept singing it
So they did away with playing the current No.1 single and now play You'll Never Walk Alone insteadBob Paisley - "This club has been my life. I'd go out and sweep the street and be proud to do it for Liverpool if they asked me to."Comment
