No late night for Reds tomorrow

Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez has ordered his players not to stay up late to watch the Ricky Hatton fight in the early hours of Sunday morning because he wants them fresh for Tuesday's decisive Champions League game in Marseille. (Various)

It's amazing they need to be told.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Yes. But that's what I mean.

sounds about right - some smart **** will spoil it all the same or some drunken text message letting you know the result
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

You could just turn the phone off.

I used to do that when I lived in Australia the year we won number five. I used to have to watch the matches on delayed coverage on SBS before I went to work and I always kept my phone off so I got no texts from home to tell me the result.

The only time I broke the rule was with about twenty minutes left in the semi final second leg against Chelsea when I thought I was going to have a nervous breakdown just couldn't bear the tension any more.

I was delighted when all the texts told me we were through and watched the final few minutes with a smile on my face once I'd calmed down.
