    Over confident manc supporters

My boss is a staunch mancs supporter, and constantly had a go at me and LFC saying we're never gonna win the prem blah blah blah, and I told him last season that I wasn't wanting to talk footie with him anymore as he's a WUM.. Anyway he's said nothing to me about our team this year (for obvious reasons) and I sat next to him last night at our team Christmas drinks party.

After some 'polite' conversation, I decided to ask him about Capello and then BOOM I dropped the bombshell.. I asked him if he was confident going into Sundays match.
His reply was: "oh, very confident!"
I asked him why he was so confident seeing that they were playing at Anfield, and we were in red hot form recently banging in the goals etc. So he responded by telling me they were going to win the league AND the champs league. I told him we'd played in 2 finals in the the last 3 yrs won it once with a weaker squad than them and that they always choked in the quarters or semis, and furthermore the race for the prem title will be very close. He ended the conversation abruptly by admitting that they had a dodgy win last year and maybe they were due a loss..

I struggle to see how the manc supporters can be so blady confident about Sunday. Anyone else work for manc supporters?

Your too good to be true, can't take the ball off you you got a heavenly touch, you pass like Sounness to rush. And when we're pissed in the bars we thank the Lord that your ours

That's interesting. My boss is a Man U fan too, but he's not your typical neanderthal Manc. In fact I would class him as a more celebral, intelligent type (yes, it seems there is at least one of them!). Anyway, he's really worried about this game. thinks their team is flattering to deceive at the moment and are struggling to create chances, coupled with our impressive form he's concerned that they're going to be found out at Anfield.

He's relieved though that Xabi won't be playing.

I've got a few Manc mates and they to are confident.

I ****ing hate the ****s but there is no doubting they are a bloody good side. They should be confident, they are playing some good football and are looking like the team to beat again this year. We'll have to play very very well to beat them on Sunday and I think it might be a draw.

The are arrogant horrible little ****ers though.

I'm never confident when we play the scummers, they always seem to get a result lately even when they roll up with a patched together team.

It's very quiet from the United fans in here - although they seem fairly relaxed and confident about it, personally my worry is that Ronaldo has never really performed for them against us. He's due a goal.

Mascherano will crunch him as soon as he gets a sight on goal and he'll be out for the season.

One of my mates is a United fan and he always knows what to say to win any argument we have

"There is always next year mate" he says ......... There is just no way back from that as a Liverpool fan!

He also says that all Fergi has to do is say Liverpool are doing well and we will go on a 3 game losing streak! Which is also very true!

They always seem to jam a result too, we outplay them they get the result

Watching the 'Football Matters' programme on Setanta last night 2 of 3 or was 3/3 pundits/presenter thought the Scum bags will win due to their excellent form
                          We come not to play.

I think people don't realise the fact that we've improved dramatically since we played them last year, I don't have to mention where we've improved as we all know, but for me we should be looking to take them on just like we did after Halftime last year!

Well I live and work in Mancland and they are FULL OF IT.

So ****ing cocky and arrogant. One lad has been laughing at my gushing over Torres.

"He's got no left foot and he's not a patch on Tevez, you Scousers are only overrating him cos you're used to such **** strikers."

I pointed out that he'd scored two or three on his left peg already and he just ignored me. ****ing tool.

Anyway...the ones I've spoken to up here are all very confident. They don't see us as any kind of title threat whatsoever.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’
