Lucky in the circumstances to beat Everton. Didnt play well, but won at Wigan.

Lucky to get a point at Pompey, they missed a peno.

9 mins away from drawing at home to Fulham.

Very late equaliser against spurs.

Possibly a fortunate freekick at Villa which we won the game from.



To an extent, you could make a case for the above.

It works both ways.

Spurs had two chances and scored them both, Fulham we had completely battered, Wigan we were by far the better team, Villa had just the one chance and they got a lucky pen. I'll just about give you Everton for the penalty shouts, but we had other chances to win the game.

Don't get me started about Arsenal - they seem to make a habit of late goals this season. Of course they'll be cursing Man U's late luck, but perhaps they'll think themselves fortunate yesterday themselves.

I know what the thread is about and I responded with my view on playing the luck card. The first post was framed in such a way ("FFS, can anything go our way") as if to say this always happens to us. I don't buy that as an excuse
