The draws to Brum and the then struggling Spurs side at home is what has put us in our current position, both games should've been won and those extra 4 points would put us in a really strong position, it's as fine as that IMO. Now we are relying on teams above us dropping points and on us not losing at places like the Emirates, Stamford Bridge and Old Toilet and as much as i like to remain positive you can see that is a massive ask especially considering past seasons.

Aye, we are much better this year compared to the last. Hopefully it will show when we get into march.Originally posted by paulcooper4 View Postwe look better this year than we did last year.
maybe this is one or two seasons too early for us to win it but who gives a ****, lets go down fighting, and with wins like today when weve played ****e things are looking good.
we just need to keep winning for now and then see where we are as regards the mancs and co in feb/march.
One things for sure, we are improving under rafa all the time and until that improvement stops im happy
I actually meant that there is a long way to go before this league title is handed out, so a lot can still happen.
Oh, and Merry Chrimbo, Coops.

Played ****, got three points.
I hope Hyypia is ok. Could be a little early for Agger to play a full 90 minutes.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I agree completely. We never find any real rythm with this never ending tinkering. A 4-1 win and he changes 5 positions. Rafa is in to heavy rotation and it's ****ing scary stuff. At least he didn't field Momo.
Rafa will never win the PL unless he gets a much stronger squad to rotate.
We were somewhere around Barstow on the edge of the desert when the drugs began to take hold.

You've forgotten Spurs at home.Originally posted by MrMichael View PostErrrrr...... yeah we do. We lost to Reading, and drew with Brum at home. Both bad results. Otherwise, we've drawn or lost to the other title challengers at Anfield, which is an entirely different sort of game, and drew away at Pompey, which is a hard game in anyone's book. Everything else we've been winning... and we have an excellent away record this season at the "smaller" teams. Basically, what I'm saying is that the evidence of this season shows that WE DO WIN THESE SORT OF GAMES REGULARLY

There'll always be moaners. We didn't play particularly well but had Babel and Carra taken their chances, we would have won easily. We're on the up and our match winners are coming to the fore.

So I did, yeah, that tooOriginally posted by Sheik Yerbouti View PostYou've forgotten Spurs at home.
Although that one's not really one of the sort of games the original post was referring to imo.I could not dig, I dared not rob:

What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

With Gerrard AND Torres now avaliable to score these goals i think we'll be there or there abouts come May. The worry is that we're behind in the title race and rather than us having to keep pace with Arse and Scum we have to also be 8 points better than them as well.
In their last 16 prem games the Scum have won 14 D 1 L 1. However, the Arse's form has been a bit more patchy and i can see them slipping up today as well.
Keep the faith.

Jesus there are pessimistic miserable ****ers on here. Win our game in hand we are 3rd and 6 points off ffs, that is not out of it. Saying we can not beat the scum, chavs or arse away is not being realistic, it is being a miserable *******, we are a good team and can beat all three of those sides.
