Thanjk you.

As much as I'd like to have a bash at someone for no good reason, such as yourself, I can't bring myself to do it.
However, should we buy expensive palyers for the sake of it and is it not ultimately Rafa's decision which players we buy? Parry, in your opinion, may not be doing a great job, but i don;t think he has the werewithal to find players as well as try to buy them for the club as WELL!!!
Like some have alreadt mentioned, we have to sell players too, so the net spend isn't really an indicator of anything. Or are you suggesting we should over the odds for every player just so we can claim to have spent more than anyone else?
Your logic confounds me and everyone else by the looks of it.
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
How can any sane person when talking of transfer "budgets" not include money the club has coming in?
Are you serious?
Parry has a list of **** ups longer than Crouchy's legs mate.
The thing is it is clearly a politicians answer from Parry in that it is true but if you look at our sales then our spend is probably comparable with say Fulham and Sunderland (although still more than Chelsea or Arsenal this summer). I'm not sure I 100% trust his answers for that very reason that he always talks like a politicain. However I think your criticism on this point is ill founded.

Well thats as stupid an assertion as I've seen on here. as I've said before, damned if you dont and damned if you do. Christ, some people here are dim.

In what sense - I think it's fair enough that he says what he says the way he does. It's probably right for the club but I just don't take what he says at face value because if you do then IMO you will be led astray. His answers are usually designed to deflect attention or down play situations not provide information on whats happening at the club - which is fair enough but then why should I trust what he says to be a reflection of what is actually going on?

Your assuming that Parry WANTS to lead you astray, why??

Not particularly I assume that Parry doesn't want anyone to know in detail what goes on at the club. I attribute no malice to it. I just think it is not in the interests of any club to do it's business in public and Parry (unlike Rafa and G&H of late) is good at not doing that.
When I say "lead astray" I mean that basically Parry says something effectively content free and that one imposes your own preconceptions upon it. With the obvious proviso that superficially all Parry statements will basically say "all is well at Anfield".
A key point worth making is all the figures given for the past summer are Rashid's opinion as they were all undisclosed.
Torres is quoted by the press as being anywhere between 18 and 26 million. Also why does he think it is fair for one season to use summer and jan transfers as this pushes the figures out.

Being economical with the truth is a bit different from being led astray though. I've said before Parry is one of the few REDS who is in the hierarchy of the club and if we can't trust a fellow red to be doing the best for the club then who can we trust?
