    Parry in NOTW

I went out and bought the NOTW after seeing the BBC quote him this morning in the rumours section. He appears to have given an interview to the NOTW and here are the quotes in brief. (bear with me as I am typing it myself)
    • "Nobody demanding the Premiership this year or any year but the fans expect to be in "contention". That's the main goal for Rafa and for the board."
    • "We appointed Rafa on the back him having experience of winning a major championship and that's what we are aiming for here."
    • "The recent meeting was cordial and positive and gave everybody the chance to air their views and remain focussed."
    • "Money at Liverpool is always available if we need it. We spent more money this year than any other year and the whole business model is based on success."
    • "The stadium is going ahead as planned and we will still have funds for transfers."

I didn't see much wrong with what he says to be honest but I don't trust him one bit and his take on how much we spent is bollocks.

I saw that this morning too.

Agree with you - I don't trust him one iota. He's a brown nosing get who is toeing the party line.
'Of course I didn't take my wife to see Rochdale as an anniversary present.
    It was her birthday.
Would I have got married during the football season ?
    Anyway, it was Rochdale reserves.'

Cheers for posting, NOTW though isn't it, so I'll politely decline to comment on the content .

Neither do I but then I dont see the point in yet another pointless interview either.

He's said nothing new so should just keep quiet.

So, people ask for the club to make statements. Why? They may as well not bother because people like you know better and tell us lesser beings not to trust them. I dont know what more Parry can say really, and cant understand the level of personal animosity toward him.

He never mentioned NET spend though did he?

Plus all the figures are inaccurate and open to bias as we don't know signing on fees, loyalty payments etc etc which all need factoring in.

Why does no-one trust Parry? Why is he always made out to be some sort of scheming incompetent fool?
I firmly believe he's doing the best for the club, he's a red after all.

How can any sane person when talking of transfer "budgets" not include money the club has coming in?

                Are you serious?

Parry has a list of **** ups longer than Crouchy's legs mate.

Look Rashid, I don't want a big argument over this, it's sunday, I'm hungover and there's a vital game to concentrate on. All I'm going to say is, you can't QUOTE parry and then move the goalposts to suit your own agenda. If the QUOTE had mentioned NET spend, fine, use his quotes to prove your point of view.
I just think it's a very underhand, dare I say it "tabloid", trick to quote someone and then subtly change the argument.
Plus you haven't addressed siging on fees, loyalty payments etc etc so all the figures we have are open to bias

Should we of kept players we didnt want like Cisse and Bellamy so we could all boast about a higher net spend then or something?

I like to poke fun at Parry for his ties/hair and stuff like that, that's the englishness in me I suppose, but I never mean and malice when doing it, it's just for a laugh. It bugs me too when people have an agenda against him, sure he's ****ed up on occasion, but to err is human. We have to have someone doing his job and Id rather have a red do it than some cunt like Chavski have.
IMO there needs to be a supporter element in the hierarchy of the club, someone we can trust to look at the bigger picture and remember the Liverpool way, otherwise we'll just turn into "another Premiership club", and we're better than that.

Owen had a column in it, Gerrard and Carragher have both given exclusives in it in the past 6 months - what's your point?

I don't get it. We spent more and we recouped more back and people are criticising Parry.
