    Not really controversial.
But I expect Alonso and Lucas to figure more and more aswell. They all seem happy to date. So I am happy with them. I can't see where the problem lies to be honest.
Momo will be shipped out surely.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

Masher was superb. I would have taken off Gerrard today he was so poor or at least found a way to get Alonso on. Masher needs to be signed.

Disagree - Xabi, Lucas, Mash and Gerrard to all compete for starting places over the next 2 to 3 seasons.

Depends on the game. Why play Masher at home against an average side for example?

And some games, all 3 will be played.

Sorry Momo though. Lucas is the 4th choice.

I think our best pairing in midfield is Mascher and Gerrard.

IMO Mascherano is one of the very top defensive midfielders in the world and if we lose out on him I will be devestated.

Am I alone in thinking that Scabby is still streets ahead of Masher, Masher breaks up play as good as Scabby, but Scabby offers something going forward and to me is the best passer of a ball in the team.

It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Masher bought the ball out of defence very well today and even dribbled into their area. Masher is the dogs bollocks. We need to find a way to combine SG, Masher and Alonso.

Not sure if I would say 'streets ahead', but I agree Alonso has more to his game. Also I think the best CM pairing we have had in recent times was Alonso & Gerrard - especially back in the 04-05 season... they were ****in' outrageously good together.

Would be the best attacking force in England. We need wingers left and right.

                          Gerrard didn't fancy it today.

                          He was poor.

Lucas is our best passer IMO. Just shows our strength in that position.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

and you base that on 5 games?
