No but we've stuck plenty past Wigan in the League previously, both facts mean nothing tomorrow though.Originally posted by PoolG View PostWe couldn't stick any past the last Steve Bruce managed team that visited us so don't bank on it. The lad needs games if he's ever going to make it in the League - playing against Luton, we might as well loan him to a Div 2 club - it's not gonna help his progression... It makes more sense to start him at Wigan than against the likes of Utd, Spurs, Arsenal etc

IMO, we cant afford to blood youngsters, (against "lesser teams"), in Premier League games anymore this season.
We've lost too many points already.
We need to put out our strongest side in every league match.
Give the younsters games in the cup, against lower league sides.
Simple as that!

I see what your saying but he was playing when we lost for the first time.He may blame himself for that.If it happened again tomorrow it could do untold damage to the lads confidence.I wouldn't risk it just yet. He's got plenty of time and a loan spell in the championship would do him good as long as its with a good team IMOOriginally posted by leviathan1984 View PostNo but we've stuck plenty past Wigan in the League previously, both facts mean nothing tomorrow though.

Exactly. He needs a loan spell at the high end of the championship but how many teams would put a rookie defender in when they're fighting for promotion. Its the same with us,too much at stake to risk it.Your right though he needs games so the only option left is the FA cup.Originally posted by leviathan1984 View PostYeah I can understand where you're coming from there mate... damned if you do, and damned if you don't sort of situation
