It's a breath of fresh air that you only read the posts.Originally posted by jack sonnelle View PostNo offence mate, but I don't look at the name of posters, just the points of view. Nothing is personal as far as I'm concerned.
I don't believe there is another manager available capable of doing the job to the standard available and in line with Liverpool's traditions.
That last part might not matter to some, but hopefully it still matters to a lot of us.
If you're talking about winning or challenging for the title, i think Mourinho would do that.
As for the traditions, sadly they're on their way out with the americans in charge, like it or not. The most recent tradition i'd like to see gone is the one which sees us out of the title picture at New Year.

I'm saying 2 more quality players and we would have a squad which would match anyones in the PL. Winning 50% of our games with the current squad isn't good enough but I bet the % is much much higher come the end of the season which is when it counts.Originally posted by DJS View PostI'm not though. Not intentionally at least.
You're saying 2 more top players and we'd turn some of those draws into wins, right?
I'm saying it shouldnt need two more top players, our current playing staff should be winning some of those drawn games! Cant see how anyone could disagree with that.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

But in what position?
Do you think a new winger and striker would help us win the league?A humble guy with healthy desire.

Well i should hope it WOULD be much higher. Christ, that wouldnt be any great achievement.Originally posted by Pacman View PostI'm saying 2 more quality players and we would have a squad which would match anyones in the PL. It wont be high enough by the end of the season though, sadly. And that is ultimately the problem.
By saying 2 more players would see us match any squad, you're saying that our current squad isnt far off now.
In which case, why are we so far off in terms of points? That's the issue. Rafa is underachieving with what he has.

Win half your games, draw the other half (nearly what we have done) = 2 pts per game = close to winning the league. Make yourself difficult to beat then add a match winner = title challenging. In fairness, though, we should not need another match winner to be winning more games. A third one would be nice though.Originally posted by DJS View PostBut you're talking as if our current playing staff are only good enough to win half the games. Do we need 2 top signings to win more than 50% of our league games? That's a sad indictment if true.

76 points is nowhere near enough to win the Premier League. Add 10 and you MIGHT come reasonably close. Adding 15 isnt even going to definitely do it.

Win our game in hand and we are 9 points behind the leaders a couple of slip ups and we aren't out of it.Originally posted by DJS View PostWell i should hope it WOULD be much higher. Christ, that wouldnt be any great achievement.

Can we win it this season? I very much doubt it. Can we be closer than we were last season thus pointing to progress? Without a ****ing doubt we can.**** OFF HICKS AND GILLETT WE DON'T WANT YOU.

No crime, just a lack of faith in Rafa. It is your right.Originally posted by DJS View PostWhat are you on about? Faith in what exactly?
I think they'll sack him. What fecking crime am i committing?
It's just your signature looks stupid. That's all.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24
