Now is the key time for the yanks, backing Rafa to get the extra couple of quality players we need to launch a title bid, and delivering the new stadium. Time for the them to put up or shut up. If truth be told I've already formed my judgment about them from what I've seen already - I'm pretty sceptical about whether they can deliver what they've promised. But now the onus is on them to prove they can.

Part of the problem is people expected everything to happen instantly and the stadium, players etc to take time. People really did what an abromovich.

Neil is right, going on the record and *achievments* of the 2 yanks doesn't exactly endear me to giving the the benefit of the doubt.

If this week they were to announce a contract extension for rafa and buy Monster Masch I would be absolutely delighted to have been proved wrong. I'm not holding my breath though.

Yeah that didn't help but we need to give them time to sort things out. From my point of view the club need to sort out a new good stadium (please no bowls) this year and Rafa get some money in the summer for 2 world class players. I will make my decision about them after the summer, also what they do with financing doesn't bother me unless it puts the club in danger. Would also be nce to see the club shop in a better situation by the end of the year.

I think your figure of 60 odd is referring to what the 'expert' panel said at the end of the Luton game. That bunch of ****ers were trying to imply that we had a 1st team squad of 60 odd players and Rafa should be doing better with these 60 odd players!
What they fail to point out that this includes players of 15,16,17 years old as well because its the ****ing youth team included. They also failed to point out that Wenger, Taggart and the majority of the Premiership also have a squad of 60 odd players.

All it does to the educated fans is show thats their is a media witch hunt against Rafa and LFC. Chucking out wild comments like that is a disgrace and they should be made to point out what it includes and how it compares to every other Premiership team.

They are trying to halt the progress of our club and manager. We shouldnt let it happen by adding fuel to their totally inaccurate and twisted comments

If you go on the Official site and look at our first-team squad profiles section there are around 55 players listed there. It includes people like Tony Le Tallec who will never play for the club again, but it doesn't include the majority of the youth squad (like Ajdarevic, Amoo, Pourie etc). In fact I think Bouzanis is the only member of the Youth Squad to be included on the 1st team squad page so you're wrong in that respect.

I knew that figure was scurrilous as soon as they mentioned it. It was definitely chucked out mud-slinging style- like "ooo and look another thing about that terrible Benitez manager" at the end.

This story seems to be garbage as it is just press spec again and didn't Hicks say only a month ago they had no intention of selling all or part of the club. Do they need to say that and Rafa is safe every day now?
