    Balague

I can't find this anywhere else so thought I'd mention it.
On the Sky Sports website there is an interview with Balague where he says there is no truth to the 'Rafa wants to leave' rumours and in his opinion it is the English press going after Rafa now Mourinho has left and he doesn't think they'll stop until they cost him his job.
I would post a link to the clip but I'm not bright enough to know how to do it!

Thank you - that's why you're intelligent and I'm not.

Yes, I caught a bit of Revista on Sky last night, showing the Real game where they got hammered and somehow won 2-0 thanks to Casillas and Robinho (who produced two superb bits of play for their goals).

Balague was going a bit potty denying that Rafa wanted to leave and talking about how Real had made their best start for ages and there was no reason for them to get rid of Schuster. He mentioned how the press was focusing on Rafa due to not having Mourinho anymore but that Rafa wanted to stay.

Interesting bunch of ***** in the Press going after Rafa, the sooner Capello picks squads, loses matches and fooks it all up with England the better.......they'll leave Rafa alone then
When you feel like you're done, you are not alone........

End of the day it comes down to success. Our league campaign needs to improve and Rafa needs to stop making mistakes. If that happens then the press will hound someone else.

So its down to Rafa himself to give us a successful season. Were sitting in 5th postion so the press are allowed to attack the team and Rafa. Its pretty much justified

Yeah, if Rafa hadn't pissed about against Reading and Wigan we'd probably have 5 points more, be considered still in the title race and the Press would be focusing solely on Big Sam.

All this negativity is annoying but like a couple of said, Rafa and the team have brought the vendetta on themselves.

If it was Chelsea or Utd having the season we're having I know I'd be lapping up all these stories and having a good laugh. In fact, I think we all were when Mourinho left.

                      Pretty much.

Doesn't stop our gutter press from being pathetic slags though.

In an age in which the media broadcast countless pieces of foolishness, the educated man is defined not by what he knows, but by what he doesn't know.

To those who suggest the press are against us because of bad results, perhaps the uncertainty caused by the relentless negative press has trickled down to the players and contributed to poor performances and results? If so as supporters there's not much we can do to prevent it except maybe to just support the players and manager and vehemently refuse to add to the bubbling cauldren.
