I'd agree that he wasn't as consistent player as Benayoun but I really think that what we lack is an option like Garcia in a lot of tight games this season. I would have him in the squad ahead of one of our strikers. I think if you think of him as an out and out attacking player he did very well, when you consider him as a midfield player (particularly within Rafa's tactics) then he was too wasteful of possession. He was the only player (other than Fowler) in the Benitez era who has fully understood the art of following up other players shots.
He had more strikers instinct then any of 3 that 'play' alongside Torres.

I would have liked to have seen how he would have linked with Torres especially as a 2nd striker rather then playing off the wing which is the way he usually was played.
    We come not to play.

He always delivered in big games or when we needed it.

He would have made a massive difference this season.

Similar to danny murphy in my book. Big goals in big games but 99% of the time just giving the ball away for no apparant reason

        Well said sir

Despite them saying the deals weren't linked at all, I doubt we'd have got El Nino if Lil Luis hadn't have gone the other way. So with that said, I'm glad he's gone.

                Good player though.
