Oh, how we missed you. Come back
Was only thinking that after the weekends game.
Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'

"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

    * After Tommy Lawrence had let in a fluke goal between his legs

I didn't know that he had played for us
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

No we don't. He would have made an already frustrating season ten times more frustrating and i don't mean to disrespect the lad there because he was a good servant and had his moments. I just thought he was utter ****e 85% of the time that's all

I'd rather have King Luis playing off Torres than Kuyt or Voronin.

One of your few posts of late I've actually agreed with.

We traded Luis for Fernando. We traded up. As much as we miss him we've done really really well.
"That's how I found myself on the Kop that day I had my blue-and-white scarf safely tucked away inside my coat as I listened to Liverpool songs and swayed with the masses.

Then City scored and I screeched and this big bloke, a Liverpool supporter, made towards me and I thought he was going to throttle me. But he just pulled my scarf from under my coat so it lay on the outside, and said: "You should always be proud of your colours, lad."

Wouldn't you rather have both Torres and Luis?

We would not have won the Champion League with out him. He has the uncanny ability to score goals at crucial times and at big games.

The reason why I don't miss him as much is because of Torres. It would've been interesting to see how they played together but on the whole I'm pleased with how things have worked out.
