Luton build-up thread

I'm really looking forward to luton now, even more so after yesterdays performance. I firmly believe that al we need to start a blistering run is to give someone a good hiding, and after the issues at Luton over the last week I think they are going to be the nominated lambs that will be led to the slaughter.

I don't like this whole underdog stuff, these minnows need to be put back in there place and dissuaded from any future heady ideas. I can only hope that we stick about 10 past Luton and show them who's boss. Then we can hopefully get around to tearing apart some of the premier league minnows that we have stuggled against this year.

No room for sentiment in football, and I hope we put 10 past 'em...although I wouldn't begrudge them a consolation goal.

Yeah I think Charlie has done pretty well so far, although I can't help feeling there's a ricket in him dying to come out. You can't expect our no.2 keeper to be like Lev Yashin.

If it was a league game, or against stronger opposition, I would have said babel or torres mate but as long as he is at liverpool football club we should be striving to get the best out of him.

first thing come into my head was crouch and babel upfront, then give a full 90 mins to pennant, lucas and leto..........put alonso there so he can keep the tempo going...........snipes and hobbs to gain some experience etc etc

Just my opinion mate. Flaps a lot for me and has no command over the defence.

Thing is he did that at Newcastle, having gone ages without a goal. It bounced in off his knee and I thought the same thing....but I think that was his last goal. Barely even looked like scoring since.

I would have Nemeth on the subs bench and bring him on if we get a couple of goals in front but if in reality if we can't beat a depleated Luton side at home no matter what team we put out we are well and truely ****ed
