If they are too stay they have to offor Rafa an extension or sack him. Not fair to ask Rafa to continue under these circumstances.Originally posted by kopdan View PostFair enough yes. Hicks maybe should not have said it.
But in my mind, the matter must be resolved for him to have said it. Rafa's job is safe as long as results go our way....which is how it should be from now on.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

Without investigating which clubs do it (I know Spurs do), doesn't this just mean showing players as an intangible asset in the accounts?Originally posted by Tom View Post
That's not all, this morning I heard that one of the options they are discussing is ofsetting debt against players.....
Who are our most valuble players and what happens to them if we get into financial trouble e.g. not qualifying for the champions league.
So far we don't do this, but I can see how it would be an advantage.
Perhaps Rocket can confirm.
I'm assuming your second paragraph is your own speculation.
Your implying it would be the first cause of action or some sort of collateral on a loan, when it's anything but.
In reality if we really were in the **** because of lack of income (I'd suggest it would take far more than one year's non-qualification), then selling players is an obvious cause of action.Quote of the year :

I dont think so no. I think his position is clear now. Win or be replaced. I see no wrong in that. He's got the tools in his armour to win the league or so I keep reading. He's had plenty of money and time to have made inroads into the league challenge.
Just my opinion mind. I dont want him sacked but if we carry on as we are, I see no reason to keep him on."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

Jesus should be enough, great historical value. Should easily pay for the stadium.Originally posted by Mumsafan View PostCould we maybe sell some fans? I could easily get a list together.Just believe and you never know what will happen.
According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Setting aside the stadium and to use your term the cold hard fact that no one of us has actually seen it yet.
You have absolutely no problem with the inconvenience of them saying rafa's job is safe just a couple of weeks ago, and today's statement that they were negotiating with Klinsmann?
That they promised not to transfer the debt onto the club and are now actively seeking to find ways to do that?
You are very trusting, I must say.

The only way that they can get any sort of credibility back is if they back Rafa to the hilt in the transfer marker with their own money IMO.Just believe and you never know what will happen.

This started because I implied people were being emotional, what's wrong with that?! I completely understand it. Doesn't mean I can't joke about it, sometimes you have to laugh at something so ridiculous (the situation NOT people's reactions)Originally posted by tomasjj View PostIt is ok to have a differing view. I just don't see why you have to be so patronising about it.
Your last sentence is another such put down.
However, I genuinely think people are over-reacting - emotional - without seeing what Rafa says about it all
It wasn't meant as a put down, but you started the direct abuse with 'stop bigging yourself up', which I've reacted to.

They did say they were looking to bring him in should things not resolve.
They did resolve and they moved on.
They all acted like cunts, Rafa included, all bringing the good name of LFC through the proverbial mud.
Lets put it all behind us and make a challenge for the PL."What's your favourite Beatles album then?"
