You know what I mean, Dan. They have to put this to bed once and for all, one way or another, for the good of the club.Originally posted by kopdan View Postthey have backed him and they continue to do so.
Today's quotes from Hicks will be all over the press tomorrow now. Hardly ideal, is it?Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

its messy I'll give you that mate. Not great for the club but I think the worst is over with.
Rafa got a bollocking, he's hopefully moved on as have Hicks and Gillett.
Hopefully we'll see more cash spent in the coming weeks"What's your favourite Beatles album then?"

I'm amazed that you can a see long term future for Rafa at the club after they have basically admitted that they were actively looking at replacing him. You don't see this as de facto underming Rafa, or at the very least an attempt to undermine him? If they backed him why admit openly that they talked to Klinsmann about replacing Rafa? Either Hick is stupid, or he saw this as a way to intensify the pressure on Rafa to walk.Originally posted by kopdan View Postits messy I'll give you that mate. Rafa's future will be decided on his teams performance now. If we finish the season well, I see no reason to worry. If we dont, then maybe yes, I can see him walking / pushed.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostI'm amazed that you can a see long term future for Rafa at the club after they have basically admitted that they were actively looking at replacing him. And you think this constant speculation will aid Rafa in any way in getting the best out of his team? Maestro has said on here that his source reckons team spirit in the camp is terrible. To me the intentions behind Hicks' actions are clear.Originally posted by kopdan View PostRafa's future will be decided on his teams performance now. And save themselves £6m compensation. I hope Rafa sticks it out and forces their hand. No reason why he should make it easy for them
