Hicks is a dosy cunt. I wouldnt be surprsed if he thinks that what he has said is meant to win us over. As if to say, 'well, we were gonna **** him off but we arent now so arent we great'. He can do one. Tomorrow night will be fun.

The facts are he was told it would be discussed when the owners came over in December. Rather than waiting to air his grievances then he decided to the little bitch bit at the press conference.Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostAcquaint yourself with the facts, he tried to do it privately but they wouldn't even return his calls. He couldn't speak to Foster as he'd buggered off back home. The press was the last resort."I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence."

I can see your point in that he shouldn't have said what he did, I think everyone agrees with that really but to talk about how he should have been sacked is a bit ott imo.Originally posted by Jimthered View PostNo, I am saying the manager should have been sacked for being totally unprofessional and acting like some spoilt bitch who had her ipod taken away.
If Rafa can only stand up for himself in this way , instead of dealing with it in a private manner (ie, "the Liverpool way" ) then we probably wouldnt be in this position today.
As to how someone becomes a liberal leftie by stating they believe a manager should be sacked is laughable at best.

Fair comment , my view is that if I was the owner and had splashed out 200 million quid or whatever it was and then have the coach go off on one, I would have canned him there and then.Originally posted by Red_hot View PostI can see your point in that he shouldn't have said what he did, I think everyone agrees with that really but to talk about how he should have been sacked is a bit ott imo.

Again.
You claim to be a Rafa fan yet you're just dismissing the notion that he might just be a bit ****ing devastated about this sordid affair.

I've had enough of the speculation and bull****. Who knows what the long term future has in store for our great club - we need to back the team and the team needs to start playing for the supporters and the manager.

Ahh I see; we are sposed to be happy that the manager who has got us 2 CL finals in 3 years would have been relieved of his post had we not qualified once in 4 years.Originally posted by Johnny View PostI seriuosly believe that The yanks are that stupid that they would think their interview with the Local LIVERPOOL newspaper was to help clear the air.Their stupidity has backfired on them.I think most on here don`t take into account that there is a culture difference where the American people don`t dissect and analyse every word. The English do as does their press.I really do believe there was no malice in their intention.
I`d hazzard to guess that Rafa spoke to them before their interview and that Rafa knows(was told) that he would be replaced if we didn`t qualify for the last 16 of the CL.
I also believe that Rafa is safe as long as we finish 4th and Challenges for a trophy. If not then the Yanks are entitled to look for an Alternative.
Some on here are only happy when they are unhappy.
I`ll wait to see Rafa`s answer to this before a chuck a wobbler.
It`s a bumpy road this yr and this is just another one.
Are we forgetting how we performed in the CL before rafa? Cos it is quite easily done even when we actually made it there in the 1st place.
It's just a shame the Glazers dint think like that about Fergiescum the other year.3rd place. Worst champions ever.
