Aguero was a realistic signing until he signed a new deal, not anymore. Nemeth can't be any worse than Kuyt or Voronin. Crouch is better than him but to play Voronin as our fourth choice striker is a joke.

There isn't enough reserve team games so either you play him as our fourth choice striker or loan him out. He need to play more games. I have never sad that I wanted him as our second or third choice striker. That would be deluded.

Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

Gillette has not got enough funds: that is what is holding up the deal.

Hicks has the funds but wants more involvement in the club's affairs than agreed at first. He is cannot buy Gillette out hence the approach to DIC by Gillette. But Hick put an unreasonable valuation on the shares; DIC walked away.

Moores is pissed off with the whole thing and has the support of Parry, and Gillette and that is the only reason why Rafa is still there.

The thinking is that DIC will come in and buy out Hicks and another 30% from Gillette but it is very much depended on RBS and Wachovia given them the loan and at what terms.

The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and goodwill shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers and you will know my name is The Lord when I lay my vengeance upon thee. Is correct. Gillett doesnt have the money or the assets to do this. Because of the credit issues in america, the banks are not willing to lend to them without substantial security. Hicks has it but Gillett doesnt.

The real danger here is that as hicks and gillett have used their american assets as security to finance a loan for us, in the future our stadium, players, future income might be used as security for them to purchase another team or business.

Its a dangerous game. They know that sports teams have assets (players) than can be sold / transferred relatively easily if they need £20m or so quickly. Its not a good scenario.

The more I read this statement the more I think Hicks really thought he was clearing the air following Bayern's bizarre declaration about Klinsmann and Liverpool. The owners really had to respond to that because silence would simply confirm it was true and leave more doubt. The confirmation was still a shock and they have come out of it looking worse. I'm sure Hicks is regretting the statement even though he did point out that they are now happy with Rafa. That is the part I'm trying to concentrate on. Interviewing managers while you still have one is probably common. Everything was probably normal until Bayern's statement brought it into the open.

My bigger problem with the owners is that they are not living up to the promise of delivering stadium and funds but I guess that we should wait and see at this point. Press reports about the financing are worrying though. We don't want to turn into another Leeds. We'd be taking a chance with DIC also as the intentions of any new owners will never be known until after the deal is done.

Rafa seems to really want to stay, but I think it will totally depend on results on the pitch. I think he has 4 months to prove he can do it.

if G hasnt got the $ and the banks want security then he is *****d I would have thought. He liquidates assets to raise $ or he sells to H. What else can he do? Hicks valuation is stupid, no way the club is worth $1 billion pounds at the moment. DIC must have laughed their heads off before getting angry about having their time wasted. The thing that gets me is how could they have all but agreed on a deal only to walk away when price was discussed. Isnt price the first or one of the first things discussed?

The loan will affect DIC because if Gillette cannot meet their terms, then he is under pressure to sell and he cannot/will not sell to Hicks as per the agreement between them. It is either the club is sold or Hicks buys him out with the said clause in the contract.

If G gets the loan, then no pressure.

What makes it more interesting is the 2nd loan next year. This one definately would/might require a sale or 3rd party investment more the former.

So they lied again, no surprise I guess. The truth is that the "improvement" in communication is that Rafa keeps his mouth shut and Hicks are doing all the talking. No more negative words against G&H or he will be kicked out.
If I was Hicks i`d demand that too.

Anyway,I`m glad all the toys are back in the pram and it`s settled down here again.

Now who was that dude calling me a negative doom mongerer for daring to suggest that the stories about Jurgen were true and that I was stupid for believing it, that Rafa would never be replaced?

Rafa will manage Liverpool FC tonight after FULL backing from G+H.

Take it from me, Hicks does not like Benitez, he hates subordination especially when it is done publically to humiliate him. The guy will always hold that against Rafa which makes his position tenuous.

But if you were appointed by one man, who then sold the company to someone who appeared to not know how it worked, and seemed intent on running it into the ground, AND refused to listen to you, what then?
