Carragher did comment last week.
Fully supported the manager, but not for him to get involved with the rumours in the press.
Or something like that.Quote of the year :
"With monkey me, dogface dishwasher bitch and chimp the ****ing champ you. We are turning into a raving party here arent we"

What disco said- Carra has come out and supported Rafa openly, as has Torres. I agree with others who say Stevie doesn't come across as a big Rafa fan. They are too different- Rafa is an intellectual who is not big on mollycoddling his players, and let's face it, Stevie is no intellectual. He comes across as quite emotionally immature sometimes and clearly needs a certain amount of hand-holding and ego stoking, which he doesn't get from Rafa. Sami's comments are the equivalent of ex prime ministers sounding off from the back benches- he has nothing to lose as he will be retired either slowly or quickly as soon as the current CB crisis is past, and he used to be captain so he has the authority to say it.

I agree. On top of that, maybe they know Rafa's going to get the sack regardless and they don't want to put their names on Hick's blacklist. Let's be honest, if Gerrard gets on the Texan's wrong side I reckon he'd probably get sold.....bringing in a nice wedge for the Yanks.Originally posted by Mumsafan View PostWe went thru this before. Why make the situation worse? It's bad enough with G & H blabbing all over the papers without senior players getting involved.
If I were Carra and Gerrard, I'd keep schtum and concentrate on getting their form back.

And use that to strengthen team spirit, as captains it's their responsibility. In private, I'm sure they'll be backing Rafa 100%.

...machiavellian I know...but
Do you think that the reason for Stevie G and Carra's reluctance to come out and support Rafa over recent months....is because they were actually told of Hicks + Gillett's intentions to look for another manager?
I can't help but think this must be the case....!
The whole thing stinks!
