Regardless of whether Rafa will sue them or not (and my guess will be that he won't) it certainly seems as though Rafa will stand firm and is in the mood for a fight. And why shouldn't he be? if it counts for anything Hicks revelations today will ensure Rafa has the fans firmly on his side.

No but if/when he leaves it has been because of their actions which have created a situation where he can no longer carry out his duties properly or un-molested.
That's constructive dismissal creating a situation to force somebody out without actually firing them.

I know nothing about the law admittedly, but this sounds very flimsy to me, especially so if there is no written documentation on the subject, recorded minutes of an official meeting, etc.

Doesn't need to be anything written to my knowledge mate he's come out and undermined the man in public and basically told him you are gone when we find someone.
When it comes to these kinds of things it's up to the employers' to prove their innocence as far as I remember.
