They obviously are.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostAs i said before. There's six million reasons why Rafa wont walk. Hicks and Gillett are obviously trying though so that they don't have to pay up.
Wasnt it just a couple of months back that everyone on here was saying that Rafa wasnt just sticking around for the money, and that he was too 'proud' or whatever, to do that?
I think the reality bug is now biting.

I think pride comes into it in some extent but if his position is as untenable as it seems then it would probably best for all concerned if there was a parting of the ways.
I don't want to see Rafa go, I genuinely mean that, but this sort of stuff is doing him and the club no good.
Hicks and Gillett have much to learn.Last edited by kurtangle01; 15-01-08, 01:45 AM.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

Exactly the kind of thing that can go towards a case for contructive dismissal.Originally posted by DJS View PostAs for hicks telling the press about approaching Klinsmann...sounds like an attempt to piss off rafa enough so he walks.

Not sure what to think of all this crap. So much bull**** around, but at the same time, you never ****ing know with the mess we seem to be in. Most of us thought the Klinsmann stuff was just tabloid bull****. I really wouldn't want to guess what the ****'s happening.Like blood on iron

I hope not. I desperately hope it will all have blown over by then. The one thing that worries me is the self-fulfilling media circus that pisses on a great height over all of us.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostIf I was a betting man I'd say that he'll leave the club by mutual agreement before the end of the season. Just an opinion ofcourse.Experimental music, Metropolitan foodstuffs, Mexican wrestler art, London suburbia, wry whimsy, fansy pants flim flam lad

You'd have thought that would be the case but we're not dealing with experienced football men here. We're dealing with ruthless business men who obviously think that manages are easily replacable.Originally posted by DJS View PostI thought the yanks would be keen to keep him til the end of the season, to oversee a top four finish.
Not so sure he'll last that long now.
The most obvious thing is that he wont be our manager for much longer.
I shudder at the thought of who we're going to end up with.Babel fanclub member # 4!!!

It's obvious that he cant possibly stay.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostI think pride comes into it in some extent but if his position is as untenable as it seems then it would probably best for all concerned if there was a parting of the ways.

I was talking about the notion that he was 'too big a man' and not interested in the money. That isnt true, as far as i can see.
Dont get me wrong, he's fully entitled to stick around for the money and it doesnt discredit his character. Some people bizarrely thought he was happily going to walk away from his £6m.

To approach anyone about a job while someone is in that job is a breach of employment law. He could sue for contsructive dismissal and the evidence is firmly stacked on Rafa's side. I don't believe it's something he'd do anyway.Originally posted by CAD View PostSue for what? Defamation? Absolute utter ****e.Gillett and Hicks are cunts

I agree. I hope he doesn't go but these guys appear to be turning the screw, the media are lapping it up and the stories will continue.
It's a sad state of affairs and who'd have thought a year ago we'd end up in this position?Babel fanclub member # 4!!!
