So that is why Hicks and Gillett isn't best mates anymore. I think that you just hit the nail on the head.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I'm not sure what you're referring to, but I think it's fair play that even if 95%of people have tried and convicted (dangles rod) the owners, the 5% who want to wait and see what happens can express their views.

Not when you consider that G&H had cheated on him. I think he managed that PC very well considering his situation.

I would probably have told the journos to **** off and G&H to visit a very warm place(hell) and then said that I will stay until I get my £6m. In the same situation.

A plague on both their houses, as far as I'm concerned.

Why the hell did G&H unveil a stadium design that they couldn't afford, and waste more of our ****ing time and more of the club's money? Weren't we initially supposed to be in the new ground two years ago? Now, we'll be lucky to have a new stadium four years from now. If they **** this up, they've got to go. Simple as that.

Also, their public comments about the rift with Rafa, and now l'affaire Klinsmann, have been hugely unprofessional. No question that Tom Hicks is a ****ing prick. It also bothers me that, apparently, Rick Parry is running the club now from a footballing standpoint, and the manager has essentially been relegated to the role of the American head coach.

A lot of you guys are slagging them off for simply wanting to make money off the club...I have no problem with that in and of itself. The Glazers aren't exactly doing an Abramovich with Man United, but it's clear to them that success on the pitch is necessary to maximize the club's financial position, and they have provided Ferguson the necessary backing to bring in players to continue that success. But it looks like G&H are simply trying to get something for nothing, and it's their incompetence, much more than their greed, that has soured me on them.

That being said, I'm quickly losing faith on our manager as well. Yes, he won us the Champions' League three seasons ago, and for that I will be forever grateful. Yes, he cares about the club. But, we've not made any progress whatsoever and he is not blameless. I agree that he hasn't had the financial backing that Ferguson and Mourinho/Grant have had, but there's no question that our side is capable of better. I don't care who Rafa puts on the pitch, we should be good enough to beat the likes of Wigan and Luton. Look at the football we were playing in November, compared to the two solid months of **** football that preceded it, and our current pathetic run. Consider that this has become a pattern...we saw it last year and the year before. The manager's got to be held accountable.

Consider that, Torres excepted, is our current group of strikers any more potent than our strikers from three years ago (Baros, Morientes, Sinama-Pongolle, Mellor)? And why have the careers of Kuyt and Crouch taken such a nosedive? At least some of this has to come down to the manager.

And why, when it was painfully obvious that we would be up against it if we suffered any injuries at the CB position, did Rafa waste so much ****ing time pursuing Heinze? We might be considerably better off had we actually brought in defensive cover over the summer.

Like I said before, I am eternally grateful to Rafa for delivering number five, and I doubt that there's a better manager in Europe. But I'm convinced that we'll never win the league under him. And, on our current form, we won't be in next year's Champions' League either.

So, I guess I think Hicks, Gillett, Parry and Rafa should all go...

                        Fair points

I'm very concerned whether yesterday's statement was

                        - calculated, with the intention of pushing Rafa out; or
                        - misguided, but with the intention of clearing up press speculation

Most people believe it's the former, although others make the fair point that it's poor that we're washing our dirty laundry (which Rafa is guilty of also...). I'd rather see how this develops.

                            My guess - no way.
In fact, I'll go as far as saying I won't believe anyone who claims otherwise.

I'm still desperate to hear from Rafa himself about yesterday's revelations. That will be far more enlightening than all the speculation.

I'm also intrigued to see if we buy any more players in this window. (actions speak louder than words)
dont know about anyone else but if this american manager won us what rafa has won us id back him in the same way im backing rafa.
