I don't know much about the RTK group but the way some Liverpudlians treat OOTers is pathetic.
Ignorance wont solve this issue either.

I put the 'some' in bold so people don't take offense, just to be politically correct for PaulCooper etc.

RTK should allow people to express their love for Liverpool in their own way. Christ I wouldnt wear a jester hat but hundreds do. What the ****s wrong with that ?

That's what I dont understand about RTK - its like some ****ing private members club. They need to grow up and accept not all fans are going to do what they want. Its not some fekkin old peoples home where you can drug em up and make them do what you want. People have to allowed to love us in the way that they want.
What the **** is this obsession with jester hats fella?

Just chill out, let them sing their songs, and dont worry yourself about it. ****s sake its just a gang of lads singing songs to try and get the atmosphere going. Much as it pains you to hear it, but one of the big reasons the atmosphere is ****e IS because of these fans who have travelled to their holy grail, to finally be at anfield.

If we relied on these type of fans we would have absolutely no atmosphere whatsoever, so the fact that we have a section that genuinely encourages people to get the atmosphere going I dont see what the problem is, and I have NEVER seen any of the big brother antics from the that you are banging on about.

if it was just people singing songs then it would be ok. RTK has a political agenda. Im not the only one to say that.

I remember being at Anfield and my mate shouted something in Slovene and suddenly there was this silence and like 1000 people looking at us.

And I was like "****! ****! We need to get out of here!" Felt so embarrased ...

The very next second, a group of Chinese walked past us and started taking pictures of every corner at Anfield. The focus and "hatred" was then focused on them, so I guess we escaped.

Moral of this story: Thank god for Chinese people!

On a more serious note, it's a real shame how some people treat OOTers. I was in a pub somewhere in Liverpool (can't remember the name ... I think it was "The Liverpool pub") and we met this 50 year old guy that came to us and asked us where we're from. He was amazed how far we came from to see a Liverpool match and started crying (well he didn't cry but he had teary eyes) and said that THAT makes him so ****ing proud it's beyond belief! ****ing ace that was!

Where is this political mamifesto? I`d like to have a read. If what you say is true then I may back you up.

I must be very naive mate because I genuinely just thought it was a load of fellas singing songs at the back of the kop

As has been mentioned in another thread, the fans thoughts on who owns the club will not have a great bearing on the power struggle being played out at the the moment. It's all about money and not much else. If Hicks thinks he can make a quick and healthy profit by selling up he will do. If he thinks he can make even more medium term he'll do that, even if he gets a bit of agg off the fan base. As we have seen at Utd the outrage over the Glazers evaporated when they coughed up some money for players and Utd won the league.

The only thing people really seem to be moaning about on here is that Rafa hasn't had a larger amount of money to spend in the transfer market, it's got fcuk all to do with who owns the club. If Hicks trurned round tomorrow and said here you go Rafa here's £50m to go and buy Kaka and there's another £50m to spend in the summer, all would be forgotten very quickly.

The problem is it doesn't look like Hicks has the money required to help us compete at the top table. Everyone is getting excited about DIC, not really because they will run Liverpool the way we used to be run, but because they have very deep pockets. All the criticism being levelled at them last year and their 7 year exit strategy seems to have been forgotten in the stampede to get Hicks out of Liverpool.
We are so far from Kaka joining us to be taken seriously, even the thought is laughable even if they did give Rafa 100mill, & i dont see it changing any time soon, Unless, someone with the power, standing & pull of the Shiek came in, it would change us almost overnight, without compromising our standards either,(off the pitch).

Look mate this is not about me slagging the RTK lot - ive already said that its a great idea and if they can get the kop back to its hey day then great.

But Liverpool FC is about winning with integrity on and off the pitch. That integrity extends to the fans too. I hope to god that there isnt but I also believe that some of the folk in the RTK dont like outsiders.

The one thing that ties us all together is our love for Liverpool and that makes a brotherhood (including the ladies) and we should all be seen as equal. Its not like that and the RTK campaign excludes some out of towners who love liverpool just like they do.

                          That's not the liverpool way.

At the luton game the other day. Some tithead and his bird came and sat in front of me, late. They took no interest in the match whatsoever and just giggled while filming the kop on there mobile phones, They then ****ed off after 35 minutes without seeing any football whatsoever.

I thought this was absolute ****e and I dont want "fans" like them at my club and told them so.

Does this mean I have a political agenda and look down my nose at all outsiders then? Or is it that I cant stand ****e fans, no matter where they come from?

I believe they probably (like me) dont like **** fans that have no idea of the liverpool way. I dont believe for a second they have a problem with someone just because they are not from Liverpool. In what way does the RTK exclude people from out of town who support Liverpool the same way they do?
