It's quite easy to make a protest and remain dignified whilst doing so. For example the support at the ground for Rafa is quite clear in the message it sends to Hicks etc.

As has been mentioned in another thread, the fans thoughts on who owns the club will not have a great bearing on the power struggle being played out at the the moment. It's all about money and not much else. If Hicks thinks he can make a quick and healthy profit by selling up he will do. If he thinks he can make even more medium term he'll do that, even if he gets a bit of agg off the fan base. As we have seen at Utd the outrage over the Glazers evaporated when they coughed up some money for players and Utd won the league.

The only thing people really seem to be moaning about on here is that Rafa hasn't had a larger amount of money to spend in the transfer market, it's got fcuk all to do with who owns the club. If Hicks trurned round tomorrow and said here you go Rafa here's £50m to go and buy Kaka and there's another £50m to spend in the summer, all would be forgotten very quickly.

The problem is it doesn't look like Hicks has the money required to help us compete at the top table. Everyone is getting excited about DIC, not really because they will run Liverpool the way we used to be run, but because they have very deep pockets. All the criticism being levelled at them last year and their 7 year exit strategy seems to have been forgotten in the stampede to get Hicks out of Liverpool.

some of the rtk stuff if really over the top. Nothing would be better than to bring back the glory days of the kop but im not sure that's ever going to happen. Instead of embracing the new liverpool fans they seem to want to marginalise them and that's not a good thing. That's not the liverpool way. We accept anyone who supports liverpool - be they white, black, brown, from liverpool, london or MARS.

As long as they support liverpool they're one of us. Hicks and Gillett dont support us so they can f*ck off.

Kaka, with H&G here & where we are in the football world at present Kaka would'nt come here, thats the point, we need to step up in the eyes of world football, DIC would give us that step up i believe. IMO

To be fair that's just not true. People are pissed off and angry because they've been LIED to, time and time again. Not to mention the Rafa saga, and that the club isn't being run in a way that befits our tradition and values as a club.

It was noticeable that the RTK efforts to get "the club's in the wrong hands" song going wasn't widely taken up by the rest of the Kop, whereas all efforts to sing Rafa's name was.

only problem for most was learning the words, and the fact that the first line started too soon after the last one finished - if you see what i mean

People couldnt make out the first 2 lines but started to get the 'Liverpool Football Club is in the wrong hands' bit.
