Can't think of any more. Didi lost in a final.

how much we pay for him, 3 million..... people tend to forget about that one when naming GH's nightmare buys

See also Bruno Cheyrou (4 million, left for free), Salif Diao (5 million, left for free), Diouf (10 million, left undisc, probably 4 million), Chris Kirkland ( 7million, left for 2 million), Cisse (14 million, left for 8 million).

All well Benande, good luck in your future ventures

All members of all World Cup winning squads were recently given medals overturning the policy of the old days where only the first 11 got one.

Former France midfielder Bernard Diomerde has announced his retirement after being without a club for the past 18 months.

Diomede, who made three appearances for Les Bleus as France claimed the World Cup in 1998, has been searching for a new club since leaving Clermont Foot in June 2006 but has now decided to call it a day.

The 33-year-old started his career at Auxerre - where he won the domestic league and cup double in 1996 - before an unproductive spell at English giants Liverpool and stints at Ajaccio and US Creteil.

Wonder why he couldnt find a club

Bizzare, a world cup winner in 1998 as a 23 year old and yet 10 years on he has been without a club for 18 months. It begs the question how the **** did the french team name Diomede in a world cup winning squad and yet nobody at all in club level will take him?

Along with Diao probably the worst transfer. £3m pound spent to keep him in the reserve.
