"liverpool fans - the ones who go the game love rafa"
How does that mean he thinks only scousers are the ones in the ground. I think your being over sensitive. We have all complained about the fans that never go matches that phone 606 and say sack Rafa very week.
"The ones who go to the game, not the London ones..." is what he said.
the fella is back to supporting and imo saying good things about rafa and liverpool football club
"liverpool fans - the ones who go the game love rafa"
"not the southern lads who do the phone ins"
para phrasing i know but thats the gist
good on ya fella
welcome back
can i also say welcome back justy
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."
I'm a London Red, but the clowns who have been phoning up 606 calling for Rafa's head have mainly been southerners (I've not heard a single scouser come on the radio calling for Rafa to be sacked, they mostly seem to be behind him) and they're giving us southern reds a bad name. As someone who often makes the 7 hour round trip drive to the game, I have absolutely no problem with Lawro's comments. Some of those morons coming on the radio calling for Rafa to be sacked need to have a long hard look at themselves. That is not support.

I don't think he was intentionally trying to insult OOT supporters, but just highlighting the fact that alot of the ****e that has been coming across on the phone-ins has been a product of fly-by-night bandwagoners who don't really know what they are talking about.
itsnt wales that place where the mens girlfriends have wolly bodies

I think he was on about people who ring up the radio and says they want the manager out. Apparently nobody outside of London does this and nobody from the south goes to Anfield.

The lawro school of thought...
He never said that, he was making a point that peple that going the match never say they want Rafa out. He used London to get the point over. You really are reading more into it then he meant. Get over it.
