    Excuse my poor knowledge on

    Business operation

My knowledge on how business operates is very limited so the question I propose is, why on earth would DIC be prepared to pay £500m when they were only willing to pay £240m the previous year? If the figure of £500m is correct I wonder how much of an impact this would have on investment for players.

AFII, I'm begging you, please do not answer this question

    Many thanks.

£500m is nothing to them mate, it's pocket money.

Rumours elsewhere (RAWK) that DIC are getting some extra financial backing from elsewhere

I want this to happen but we should all wake up and realise that they too will borrow the money. It is likely that it will be secured on the club. At least they are up front about it. They will borrow the money because there is tax relief on the interest payments.

I know it's probably pocked money to them mate but they weren't prepared to pay that much last year.

So why not bid an extra £1100 per share last year?

As DJS said would they need it and also wouldn't that mean that a profit would be priority.

But £500m wasnt required last year.

And when they walked away, i maintain this wasnt because of money, because they could've easily trebled it if they wanted. But that's not how they work, they had an agreement and felt betrayed when Moores went to the yanks, so they had no further interest.

Answered this in my reply to marcus.

But Moores had to listen to the yanks.

They obviously see a much, much bigger picture! 500m is nothing if they can have much bigger profits in years to come.

The club income will suddenly get sky-high the second Rick Parry is fired. I'm certain of it.

Yes but from the POV of the arabs, they'd done a deal and then got stitched up. It doesnt surprise me in the slightest that they fecked off and are now willing to pay so much more.
