DIC would have denied it by now if the story was rubbish.

I realize that most of us are simply engaged in speculation, so I'll throw my speculative hat into the ring too (even though I know somebody who knows Tom Hicks very well, I have absolutely no inside information at all beyond the suggestion that he's a very difficult fellow and that's no scoop, obviously), but could be that Hicks is keeping his options open? If he announced that he was going to sell, or considering selling his stake, might that not jeopardize his possibility of securing a loan? By denying these reports he is able to pursue both possibilities -- keeping the club or selling it -- simultaneously.
It might also be telling that there is nothing on the official site. Previously there have been denials or confirmation stories at the official site and there has been nothing so far.

i think you're spot on with the first part, the second part, well it is a sunday and going by llfc's usual response time, the club will have been sold to dic, by the time Ian Cotton gets round to saying - " not true"Originally posted by Philosophia View PostI realize that most of us are simply engaged in speculation, so I'll throw my speculative hat into the ring too (even though I know somebody who knows Tom Hicks very well, I have absolutely no inside information at all beyond the suggestion that he's a very difficult fellow and that's no scoop, obviously), but could be that Hicks is keeping his options open? True, very true. Hick's statement worries me, deny yes, but to claim the story is Complete Fabrication, i dont know, Worrying words. ******* *******.Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostAnyway, if they were at Anfield the BBC would have the nationals on it instead of local media anyway, wouldn't they?
It'd be all over the net and every other media outlet by now.
