i don't think you can blame the situation off the pitch as all the elements were there tonight- great crowd, good team, controlled the game.

failed to take advantage when on top.

we need better quality up top without naming names.

Apart from a 5 minute period in the second-half we never really tested Villa. Yes we had more of the ball but the play broke down far too often on the edge of their box, usually because we weren't getting wide and attempted to play through too many people with short passing.

Very disappointed that, yet again, it takes the other team doing something to force a change from Rafa. He is the worst manager in the Premiership at making pro-active changes from the bench.

Kuyt was half decent in the first half, but it was telling that when he made that ghastly error in on goal Stevie turned away while throwing his arm in the air as if to say "You're ****". And it's not the first time.

What a goal by Crouch by the way. Why oh why doesn't he start?

Bizarre goals from set pieces.

Babel and Crouch should have a bigger part in the side. Crouch has proved time and time again, he is much better than Kuyt and Voronin.

If Torres doesn't score, we struggle.

Villa were jammy and we just don't have the killer instinct. Nowt much else to add.

It seems our platform performs so weel at times. That we get complaicent almost as if we are more than a goal up when we are just a goal up.
I know Benayoun scored, but I don't think he is good enough, same can be said of Kuyt and I never thought I would be saying it, Harry Kewell. He sure doesn't strike me as a world class footballer playing for his future. I think he would be happy with a move away on a free in the summer now,possibly to London.

Its totally inexplicable that we didn't win that game. Another shocker from Kuyt, couldn't even claim to a good workrate today. And everytime Harry ran he looked like he had a parachute strapped to his back.
