He's a fan as well, he'd probably love to vent it and tell it like he sees it, but he has more sense than that and realises that anything he says is going to be analysed for weeks after he opens his gob.

Why? they the players still get paid, it doesn't effect their home life, the manager is still the same (just) so why should a change in ownership DIIRECTLY effect them?

e.g the Chief Executive of my work place is leaving, does it bother me? feck know, it annoys me that he's getting a huge payout but thats it.

It's crap, their job is on the pitch not off the pitch they should concentrate on winning some games and stop reading the paper and watching SSN.
      We come not to play.

I'm no expert on body language, but the each person interviewed looks mightily pissed off at the moment (especially Gerrard). Saying it's a stupid excuse doesn't change that fact a jot!

Of course they were pissed off, they drew again, this run has coincided with the ownership circus so lets blame that instead of saying we need to knuckle down and try to create more chances and be more accurate when shooting at goal.

it can affect all kinds of things, imo as good as the chanting from the fans was, i think it's a distraction to the players. It might affect mentally, like when we conceded the first, it must have given the players a here we go again feeling. It might even affect Rafa in his match planning, intentionally going out not to lose games, rather than aiming to win.

I'm telling you, no matter how much they get paid all this **** affects the players maybe in minor ways or some more than others but it definitely does. There's an obvious difference in our teamas the seasons gone on and it's obviously for the worse

In my opinion it IS affecting them. End of. We've become a circus! it's embarrassing!

Nothing to see here, he's delighted because we've drawn.

We are a circus and the team not doing the business on the pitch especially at home is not helping

Not too far off those quotes... needless to say all this is affecting the team. FACT!

This very messageboard is a perfect example of how we fans have been affected by what has been happening on the pitch.

How can anybody who expects players, who care for the club just as we do, to play with passion and commitment every week, also expect those players not to be affected by boardroom unrest that threatens our existence as we know it?
It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

If the players are so mentally fickle then the club need a counsellor or psychologist.

Thats ridiculous, if someone is uncertain in their job, of course it can affect you, at any job at any level. A new manager comes in and clears out players, some are bound to think "**** what if its me?", and you don't think that will impact performance?
