He's a fan as well, he'd probably love to vent it and tell it like he sees it, but he has more sense than that and realises that anything he says is going to be analysed for weeks after he opens his gob.

Why? they the players still get paid, it doesn't effect their home life, the manager is still the same (just) so why should a change in ownership DIIRECTLY effect them?Originally posted by Morph View PostI don't think it is a stupid excuse, I think it's becoming more and more viable every week
e.g the Chief Executive of my work place is leaving, does it bother me? feck know, it annoys me that he's getting a huge payout but thats it.
It's crap, their job is on the pitch not off the pitch they should concentrate on winning some games and stop reading the paper and watching SSN.We come not to play.

I'm no expert on body language, but the each person interviewed looks mightily pissed off at the moment (especially Gerrard). Saying it's a stupid excuse doesn't change that fact a jot!Originally posted by Frodo View Post(re)Read what Carra said, its a stupid excuse for the fact that this team just can't win....

Of course they were pissed off, they drew again, this run has coincided with the ownership circus so lets blame that instead of saying we need to knuckle down and try to create more chances and be more accurate when shooting at goal.Originally posted by Bob View PostI'm no expert on body language, but the each person interviewed looks mightily pissed off at the moment (especially Gerrard). it can affect all kinds of things, imo as good as the chanting from the fans was, i think it's a distraction to the players. It might affect mentally, like when we conceded the first, it must have given the players a here we go again feeling. It might even affect Rafa in his match planning, intentionally going out not to lose games, rather than aiming to win.Originally posted by Frodo View PostWhy? they the players still get paid, it doesn't effect their home life, the manager is still the same (just) so why should a change in ownership DIIRECTLY effect them?

I'm telling you, no matter how much they get paid all this **** affects the players maybe in minor ways or some more than others but it definitely does. There's an obvious difference in our teamas the seasons gone on and it's obviously for the worseThomas Hicks Senior

In my opinion it IS affecting them. End of. We've become a circus! it's embarrassing!Originally posted by Frodo View PostOf course they were pissed off, they drew again, this run has coincided with the ownership circus so lets blame that instead of saying we need to knuckle down and try to create more chances and be more accurate when shooting at goal.

He was the opposite, he was pissed off!
"Not good enough" (the performance)
"Of course we know what's going on... but i need to watch what i say"
"Not helping the players"
"It's hard to avoid when there's stories everyday"
Not too far off those quotes... needless to say all this is affecting the team. FACT!
Play the Man of the Match game in the sticky thread!

This very messageboard is a perfect example of how we fans have been affected by what has been happening on the pitch.
How can anybody who expects players, who care for the club just as we do, to play with passion and commitment every week, also expect those players not to be affected by boardroom unrest that threatens our existence as we know it?It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

If the players are so mentally fickle then the club need a counsellor or psychologist.Originally posted by Morph View Postit can affect all kinds of things, imo as good as the chanting from the fans was, i think it's a distraction to the players.
