Thats ridiculous, if someone is uncertain in their job, of course it can affect you, at any job at any level. A new manager comes in and clears out players, some are bound to think "**** what if its me?", and you don't think that will impact performance?

Why the feck are they worrying about that now? Rafa is still the manager, if/when he gets sacked then players may get worried, but changes with the ownership? why does that effect them? no matter who the owner is as they will still get paid.

loosen him from the chains of captaincy: a few years ago when hyppia was captain it was clear that being captain affected his form. in recent years ( last 2-3) i think the same has happened to gerrard let carragher be captain it wont affect him ( he doesnt have to worry about scoring in evry 3 games setting up goals all he has to do is defend) let gerrard get back to being the heartbeat of liverpool

It's old news, that was done in November (when the team were winning). Hicks has admitted to that, if they don't perform on the pitch They and they alone will be the reason he gets sacked.

Thats all well and good, but when a lack of confidence and insecurity is rife, its going to affect the performance of the players. Look at Kuyt, tries his heart out but he just can't get it right.

They're not robots is the simple answer. There's emotions in the air and there's pressure, huge pressure. The managers job is uncertain (players such as Torres who signed for this club because of Rafa) ... It's all about sentiments mate and you've got to understand that. Players aren't controlled via a remote device.
