I think anyone who doesn't think it will affect them in some way is a tad naive to be honest. They aren't robots. Just cos they get paid **** loads doesn't mean they don't care about anything does it?

I really think this circus has been going on too long now, and is transmitting itself on to the pitch. We need these issues to resolve themselves asap so we can get back to focussing on football. The speculation has been affecting me in my job, I was on the floor last week, really worried about what was happening to our club. I don't think it's a stretch to say it could be affecting the players in the same way, and they're much closer to it than us.

there's no doubt about it, since the specualtion hit us in Dec, we've been poor.

Before the Reading game, we were 3 points behind Man U, with a game in hand. 8 league games later and we're 14 points behind with a game in hand.

I agree. SG is not a great captain imo - Carra should be captain - is vocal, plays above himself and is diplomatic. He is much more of a leader than SG I think.
