Too Rash for me, Lucky not to be sent off today. Needs to stay on his feet abit more and then he would be a very good player, Not in Gerrard's league though I'm afraid.
On awaiting Everton's arrival for a derby game at Anfield, Bill Shankly gave a box of toilet rolls to the doorman and said: "Give them these when they arrive – they'll need them!"

If more players had played with the will to win he did tonight we'd have walked this one.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
It's a bit away in truth but hard to look past Torres.
Depends what you want really. If you want someone to lead by example, he's your man. But if you want a motivator, then it has to be one of the other two.

Not saying he does not try hard.
IMO he lunges too much, take the free kick for the second goal for instance, The player was going no where and yet he gave away a very silly and needless free kick that led to there second goal.
And please ffs don't tell me Gerrard has gone from being the best Midfielder in Europe to now being not fit to captain the reds....
Grow up ffs people Gerrard has carried us along with Torres for the best part of this season. What the **** has Masch done? I like the lad but please......

I know he was captain of Atletico, but for some reason I don't really see Torres as being our captain. Senior and star player yes, but I don't see captaincy. If Carra and Stevie were to leave close to each other I think Pepe would be my first pick, probably followed by Alonso (if starting regularly at the time). Of the younger guys I'd have Masher though!

Torres had been a captain before, admittedly by his own admisssion not in the SG mould and he was very young.
I think if the chance arises when he's older then he'd grasp it and would know what it means to be a captain.
Mascher is an animal - awesome player who just looks to be getting better and better. Can be a little rash as someone already pointed out, but that is just his naturally aggresive streak.

He reminds me of a young Gerrard to be honest the way Stevie G would dive in to tackles etc... The lad will be awesome in years to come, but like I said... Not in Gerrard's league at the moment...
