we drew our 6th out of 11 at home, of course people are going to be pissed, its not good enough

and this is going back long before the off field problems.

of course there was stuff that was ott, people do that in anger, its a natural way of life

This thread is a bit sanctimonious for my liking.

The match thread (which I haven't read for this match btw) is real time and reflects peoples emotions, joys, frustrations, highs and lows in the heat of the battle. People's instant reactions are always going to be more extreme, especially at a time like this when the situation at the club is so worrying.

People react instantly to what they see. The rational, considered analysis usually waits until the final whistle when everyone has calmed down.

Maybe some went too far tonight, I can't comment on that but there's no need to start having a go at fellow Liverpool supporters just because they were expressing their frustration.

I think everyone understands that, but its generally when people start coming out with comments about selling players, the owners or rafas long term future in the match thread that the idiocy takes over!

Well it isn't wise to post when we're under 'emotional stress' mate. I've been abused many times for trying to tell some in there to keep it under control. Whilst I can understand the frustration, as soon as the whistle goes there's nothing we can do about the result.

Anyway, that's how I see things. I understand though but I won't go into this thread again, unless we're on a roll and winning.

I'll take that draw, ok so we are out of the race .. we need to concentrate on europe, staying in the top 4 and the fa cup. Get some stability back in the club and bring in the final pieces of the puzzle

God that was shocking form you lot
I didn't see the match thread as I was at the game, but Kuyt was not outstanding in the first half. I'm not sure how you reached that conclusion. I thought he was pathetic personally.

Just back from the pub. What happened here then? I don't know what people expect given all the ****e off the pitch. I'm not making excuses because I genuinely don't think we're that good but we'll definitely finish in 4th.

As for tonight, we were ok and deserved to win. We were unlucky. We simply don't get the breaks. Obviously there are still players out there that let us down on a weekly basis but at the moment there are more important things to think about regarding LFC. Our future is very much up in the air and the sooner it gets sorted the better.

Speaking of Parry. Did you see him tonight? He's aged about ten years in the last 4 months. He's in pieces at the moment. Dark days for LFC.

He did some good things in the first 30 mins or so, pass for Benayoun, cross that Kewell failed to react to etc... He also didn't do his usual trick of giving the ball away every time he got it which made him seem a lot better than he really was IMO. Still, an improvement, and that much is to be lauded.

I guess you grew up in the 90s because it seems like being the 4th or 5th best team in England is acceptable to you?

Sorry mate I don't see it. I'm not being deliberately unkind. I thought he was appalling again. He works hard but I'd love to sit Rafa down in a closed discreet room and discover why the lad keeps getting selected. I don't think I'm alone.

When I went to the toilet afterwards all anyone was talking about was Dirk Kuyt and how he can possibly be in the team ahead of Crouch or Babel.

I'm told that Aldo went into a similar rant once Crouch had equalised too.

I don't like pointing out that a hard working player is poor, but sadly he is, and he was poor tonight too. It may be that we have to agree to disagree on this as views on players can't really be changed via debate.

Kuyt had a good first half and created Yossi's goal. Had a poor second half but kept running and trying.
