    4th place - anyone concerned now?

    If we can't win games at Anfield, when we take leads in we've got two hopes and one of them is Bob.

    Seriously, we've got a serious battle on our hands.

    Reminds me of Rafa's first season in charge.

    I have already said that if we don't sign a quality striker this window then we won't finish in the top four.

    No reason to change that after todays game.
    Just believe and you never know what will happen.

    According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

      Not worried in the slightest....

      Rafa will take us to 4th...

                Moscow will make sure we're in the champions league next season if we cant get 4th place

                  We've had a lot of seasons in the last few years where we have only come strong at the end to get in and we will do it again. I remember a few years back, it looked like Ipswich were going to get in ahead of us!

                  Only Newcastle and Everton have lasted the pace in the last few years and I think we will get in fairly handy.

                    Is it next year where the top 3 automatically qualify for the CL proper and the 4th team has to play-off against one of the other big fish from the top leagues? if so we should aim for 3rd.

                        I think 4th is a big challenge now. Never in my wildest dreams did I think the season would end up like this but with all that's gone on off the pitch I'm not surprised. The teams around us are playing well but if we don't get our form back soon we are in big trouble.

                            Our consistency over the rest of the season will be better than the other teams, they don't have enough strength in depth for the run in IMO.

                            We shouldn't be taking it as an achievement, but I'm not concerned about not getting 4th.
