If you could please point out our strength and depth, I would be most grateful.

If Torres or Gerrard get injured, it's all over.

It's going to be tough but we are still the strongest team out of those contending for fourth.

Really it should be ours but we need to start winning games very soon.

Having said that I would take a repeat of 2005 - 5th place and European Champions.

The most worrying fact is tha there will no furtehr movement (in or out) this window. We DESPERATELY need some creativity and goal threat and we simply lack it. I still think we'll finish 3rd/4th, but we need to find another threat up top other than Torres. From now on till the end of the season I'd start with Babel & Torres.

Not necessarily those two, but the ability to keep the rest of the squad fresh and able to provide chances. If we're going down that route what happens if Elano and Petrov get injured, or Yakubu and Arteta.

              Silly comment IMO.

                4th place?

Sky can shove it up their arses.

                Really not ****in interested.

                2nd is nowhere.

Hope we miss out on it. Means we have no stupid ****ing distractions. It's league, league ****ing league for me.

                **** the league this year.

Let's win the FA cup and number 6 and have another parade.

We should get 4th, don't think it will be that bad. The saddest part is we're in January and we have to talk about 4th again.

last time everton finished above us we won the champions league, lets hope for the same fortune again...

i would be fairly worried, i think we would be favourites, just about, everton still have to come to us but we have to travel to the top 3

yeah, a bit worried i suppose, not qualifying would be criminal

CL qualification is essential to the Yanks' financial plans, given the debt load they are about to place on the club. Being out of that position in this point in time can only help them realize just how untenable the financial house of cards they are building is.

FFS people, whether 4th or 5th place gets rid of the americans isnt the issue. Liverpool FC exists to win trophies and provide pride for its supporters. Is 4th or 5th closer to silverware? Will you be more proud facing a Manc being in the CL or not?

Ultimately irrelevant of course given that 4th isnt first. But hoping for 5th is unacceptable IMO. For any reason.

Was it crap last May or 2 and half years ago?

                              You completely missed my point.

We can't win the league and I don't consider 4th place to be more important than winning a trophy. We can still win the European Cup and or the FA Cup.

Remember that's what this club is founded on; winning trophies. Not finishing 4th in the league. No trophy for that.

your right on the trophies thing,

but qualifying means loads of extra games on t.v. and not to mention the money, we need it
