Been worried about getting 4th for weeks now!

Someone said, (a couple of weeks ago), if we carry on playing like this, we'll get 4th easily, to which I replied "Are you having a laugh?!, or words to that effect).

Winning it probably yes, we couldn't see Arsenal challenging too, that was a surprise. I still think we're a very good team, probably at Chelsea's level. But events off the pitch haven't helped a bit. It probably lost us 8 or 10 points, if you look about the draws we've made lately. It must have been brewing for a long time you know, even before it hit the press (all this H & G affair).

Thing is, and I know its looking to the future again, but Arsenal last season were 4th and playing possession football, not scoring enough but had some players who were to settle and they look great now.

Babel up front next season with Torres will be great. We've really missed Agger, Masch will hopefully be signed, maybe a proper left winger and it might, just might, come together.

We should finish fourth no problem when you compare our squad against those of City, Everton and the rest.

Trouble is that the squad isn't playing as it should and I think we have got a bit of a fight on our hands.

were in a bad state at the moment and it hasnt helped the team with all the off field antics, its bull**** to say it doesnt and shouldnt effect the team, well it does and it is occuring right now. i for one pray rafa stays at our club, the likes of torres, reina, alonso, arbeloa would all question their future at the club, and that is not a risk worth taking.

i cant see any other team being 4th other than us, from then on the only way is up, if our team is invested in that is.

I think anybody who isn't worried about 4th place is being very optimistic. we are clearly struggling at the moment and although a bit unlucky tonight, we haven't been playing well of late, particulary at home.

I think 4th place will depend on the ownership situation. If the current uncertailnty continues then I don't think we'll finish 4th but if its sorted out positively we will.

i'm sick to death of the whole thing, I 'm sure Rafa is and judging by what people on here have said about SG's aftermatch interview, he clearly is. Is effecting us on the pitch and whilst not quite being in freefall, we are in serious danger of missing out.

They were clearly a team rebuilding after their last title winning side got a bit too old / injury prone. Completely different situation to us.
