    No, a bridge too far.

we've had more upheaval in the last 10 months than we've had in the last 100 years.

They need to get out, and now.
    Reece, get off my wife.:whatever:

isn't the one on the table still better than the original plans?

valid reason to cut cost in this financial climate.

but even if they did come out with all the above it would take a lot of time before anyone trusted them - but hands in pocket is a start.
The one person who could do is maybe Gillette as he's been very quiet.
But it takes along time to build a good reputation.
Its times like these we learn to live again FF

          I wouldn't be happy no!

Even if they put £50m of their own money in they have still saddled the club with a huge amount of debt created by them buying the club, which they initially promised they wouldn't do.

They have unveiled new plans for the stadium previously and things have changed, I wouldn't trust them with any of their promises.

I can see that if/when the refinancing is announced they will put a huge spin on things and have put alot of effort into PR I just hope people don't fall for the lines the feed us. They told us what we wanted to hear before and went back on their word, why should we trust anything they say this time?

If the part about the budget was proved by action to be true then yes. I think my problems with them so far could potentially all be a matter of poor communication and/or understanding of the British press. However they have made a bad enough impression that they need to prove to me they mean anything they say.

Finally unveiling plans is not enough for me now. We've done that once. I want work to start.

They have done a bad PR job but I think Rafa has to take some of the blame for the way we have become viewed in the press. It is always difficult the transition of an institution like a football club to new owners. In general it is made much easier if the ownership and all the management alter at the same time. It is clear that there have been problems between the football and business sides of LFC and they have been handled very badly.

However a lot of the crimes of G&H remain the object of considerable conjecture and I think depending on what the real situation is they could turn things around in terms of how they are viewed. That said I have my doubts they are capable of doing what they say they can/will and they do need to start acting like grown men with a well thoughtout long term plan.

the club will be in a **** load of debt (something they promised wouldn't happen)

we would have 30million interest per annum to pay

we would not be spending big in the transfer window

              mascher will be off

it will take 1 year to get planning permission and another 3/4 to build a stadium

the yanks will need another 300million loan to pay for the stadium

Rafa will be off in the summer if they are in charge, which will lead to our spanish players wanting out.

Tom Hicks has a big fat head

We have a loud mouth owner who doesn't understand the liverpool way or football (soccer!)

              I feel depressed

No, because why should I believe them this time when they blatantly lied last time. They have to go. They are small time and they are liars. We welcomed them with typical Scouse openness, but they **** on us and we're not idiots.

They simply HAVE to do/say something to appease the fans, but I’ll still reserve judgement until the summer. Actions speak much louder than words and speculation.

They have breached the trust of the fans too significantly and too many times.

There's now way they can redeem themselves in my eyes.

Never. Once the trust has gone, it cannot be regained. Someone mentioned that the gaffer had sussed them out as early as the last CL Final. If only DM and RP had had a fraction of Rafas foresight.

I agree that he hasnt helped his own cause, but if we knew then what we suspect Rafa has known all along, our own protests would probably have started much sooner. I must have been murder for him to keep his mouth shut for so long imho. In Rafas own (unique!) way, i think he was trying to let everyone know what a pair of cunts we had in charge.

I bet they lose us Masher too. That would make me want to throttle the pair of them with a shoe lace and dump their bloated corpses in the Mersey!

In the words of Nelson Mandela (if that's not going a bit too melodramatic, comparing his reaction to freedom after years of fighting apartheid to a statement from our glorious leaders), I would forgive but not forget.

They need to follow up the above with details over the stadium financing, and reassuring us that there will be money for transfers during the construction phase. They'll have done what I asked for in this thread then: http://www.est1892.co.uk/forums/showthread.php?t=46045
