Thanjk you.

The TV schedule had already been decided by the time Havant qualified for the fourth round.
Yeah I read your post, if thats the case it was unavoidable I suppose. But if they just decided an putting on whover we played (Swansea or Havant) then the worse case scenario would have been a Liverpool v Swansea televised match which would have been on a par with the Man City v Sheff Utd match they have chosen to show
The TV money Havant will miss out on by not being shown live would probably have covered the palyers salarys for the entire year and more.
...
By my amatuer calculations, the highlights pay our salary bill for the week, with a bit left over. I would guestimate our annual salary bill to be around 450k.
Perhaps not being on telly is a better thing, as it means more bums on seats.
More people would sit and watch our Giant v Minnows match than Mansfield v Middlesbrough which is televised.
That is a fact!
I think the idea is that the minnow (Mansfield) is at home against the...er..cough...giant Middlesborough. More chance of a shock. No one wants to watch Havant take a hammering against the unpopular Liveropool Redsocks....
To be fair both BBC and sky had picked their matches before our respective replays............. how exciting would Luton v Swansea appear on the schedules?
Lawrenson:"Well thats 3 good chances they have had in the first 3 minutes of this half"
Motson:"" Yes Mark, you could almost say that they have had 3 chances in as many minutes"
Lawrenson: Errr I thought I just did say that, John"
