    Reds and Gladbach Cement Friendship

Not much of a story really but still, it's one of those little positive things thats keeping me going through all this depressing stuff at the moment...

    From the offal:

The unique bond of friendship that exists between fans of Liverpool and Borussia Moenchengladbach has been hailed as 'stronger than ever'.
That's the verdict of Reds supporter Graham Agg, who last weekend welcomed 90 Gladbach fans to Liverpool for what is a now annual pilgrimage.

The visiting Germans enjoyed a tour of Anfield on Friday afternoon and were then treated to a specially organised 'fan party' at the Ship and Mitre pub in Liverpool city centre on Saturday night.

They rounded off their visit by attending Monday's game against Aston Villa.

Agg said: "This very special friendship between Liverpool and Gladbach was forged at the 1977 European Cup final.

"The Fan Party this weekend proved once again, 31 years later, that it's as strong as ever and shows no sign of abating.

"It is something both clubs and their supporters can be truly proud of."

There's no point posting any positive news in here, Matt. This forum is just for manic depressives with Tourette's Syndrome...

There is a light that never goes out. RIP Alan "Mally" Johnston and the 96. YNWA.

I've seen better news come out of my arse.

Mind, it is better than everything else concerned with the club at the minute so

I saw this group of Moenche….**** it, Borussia fans on LFC TV the other day. They were all in the Albert, singing the most monotonous, out of tune yet hilarious rendition of YNWA I’ve ever heard. Very funny it was.

I remember playing Dortmund in the CL in about 2001 and being in the Park before – loads of Dortmund fans joining in with everyone going through the full repertoire of songs. They were a great bunch, albeit completely insane.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

The local taxi firm owner is a massive Moenchengladbach fan and keeps prattling on about the links between the fans. He rides a Honda Goldwing with Gladbach stickers all over it and has a London Taxi, albeit in that German sponk colour. Chances are he was over for the visit as his second team is the Reds.
