Right, this is just another example of people who dont seem to be able to read properly. THe LMA statement said that they had been in touch with RAFA to offer him advice and support. and it couldnt comment on dissciussions. Now thats a bog standard union type coverall statementOriginally posted by REDrascal View Post"Rafa has bee Assured"
Thats why he's being legally advised by the LMA, He does'nt believe it & NOR do i.
that people blew out of all proportion because the LMA do in fact offer legal support, as do all other unions, along with lots of other services. If Rafa had wanted legal advice he might just ask his laywer wife first! This is bolox and people ned to get over the LMA story. He's a member of thier club, they rang him to ask if he was OK and then told the press to make themselves look good, get over it.

and so far what has happened this season that points to rafa deserving a new contract.and before you accusse me of being a traitor look at the facts.last season we finished 21 points behind mancs,so far we are 5th and 14 points mancs not playing good football the players look like they don't understand the managers tactics.the manager got his tactics wrong in last seasons cl final.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostBack him then with a new contract. They have previously doubted Rafa's commitment to the club haven't they? Wasn't Hicks' justification for talking to Klinsmann that there were rumours Rafa was going to Real Madrid? Ok then, turn things around a bit, put Rafa's long term commitment to the test - offer him a new deal and see if he takes it.
who's arsed?

Hopefully this will put an end to the media circus for a while. Sign Mascher up, concentrate on making the best of a bad season (league wise) and get back to winning football matches.
This statement should take the excuse away from the players that they are effected by off the field matters.
I'm fully behind Rafa as our manager but at the same time I honestly think we should be doing better than our league position shows, give him until at least this time next season, maybe to the end of next season then decide if he has produced enough to renew his contract. The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

I will be stuck on stage 2 until the yanks are gone. Some people might be willing to be fooled agian by these two, but I'm not one of them.Originally posted by disco View PostCompletely agree, great post
Right, I'm now onto stage 4 of the 'reaction to change' (disbelief/denial> anger/blame> reluctant acceptance > focus on future), but I suspect quite a few people will be trapped in stage 2 for quite some time.
Answer me this Disco, do you believe Hicks when he says he is backing Rafa?White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Regardless, the owners are saying they are committed to the manager, in fact they have gone as far as to say it is the manager's commitment to the club that is in question here, and not their commitment to the manager. Simple way to clear it up, offer him a contract and see if Rafa really is committed to the club.Originally posted by shanks69 View Postand so far what has happened this season that points to rafa deserving a new contract.and before you accusse me of being a traitor look at the facts.last season we finished 21 points behind mancs,so far we are 5th and 14 points mancs not playing good football the players look like they don't understand the managers tactics.the manager got his tactics wrong in last seasons cl final.
If Hicks is honest that he does have faith in Rafa going forward, then he should have no issues with offering him an extension. Unless of course he is lying.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

Thats daft. Why offer Rafa a new contract when he still has 2 and half years left? Why not back him now and hope that he does well. And if he does THEN give him a new contractOriginally posted by Dhavlos View PostRegardless, the owners are saying they are committed to the manager, in fact they have gone as far as to say it is the manager's commitment to the club that is in question here, and not their commitment to the manager. This is key for me. Hick's last comment in that press release suggests that he has no intention of giving Rafa an extended deal in the short term.Originally posted by REDSCOUSER View PostPut the money where yer mouth is HICKS. Extend RAFA's contract to back up your statement. Fooking cowboy.
