    Charm Offensive

Right now im expecting the yanks to launch a charm offensive now they have lumped the club with debt. I expected them to sign masher and hopefully offer rafa a new contract. Thats the only way i think we can move forward with them at the helm.

The question is how can we move forward if the press dont get off rafa's back. New contract is the only way to do that IMO if you think rafa is the man for the job!!!

Secondly will there be more yanks out banners at anfield tomorrow?:bird:

I think as fans we should not rest in our protests until we see action being taken and promises fufilled as I feel we have been burned once by empty promises and Yank charm

Ousting him now would cost the club a significant amount of money. Sure, not making it into the Champions League would also be expensive, but there's very little chance of getting a good long-term appointment in now if Rafa left tomorrow as most managers will be committed to their clubs to at least the end of the season.

Plus there is always the chance that Rafa might walk at the end of this season if he gets an offer from Spain - or Italy.

Extend Rafa's contract, otherwise they can disappear up there own arsehole's as far as I am concerned.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

                    How?

And more importantly why? He has two and a half years left on his current deal.

And yes he needs to be doing a lot better, admittedly.

I take it you dont believe what you read today
"With Ron Yeats in defence, we could play Arthur Askey in goal."

Rafa has 2 and half years left on his contract. A new contract should depend on how well we progress in the league over the next 2 seasons. Ofcourse he should earn it

They will undoubtedly release a charm offensive and hopefully this will involve multiple signings and contract extensions etc etc. However I dont for 1 minute believe a word of whatever they say and want them to sell up as soon as they can.
