This is also why the stadium-design has changed to 71.000 seats, so that is has to be re-applied for another ½ year of delay, so that they dont have to take out the loans before a buyer comes around - or they will have to sell off Torres or Gerrard to pay off the interest.
Be the way - I'm not making a PR for The Independent, but the have a few VERY relevant articles linked up with the one I linked to above - find them and read them - and see how this will be a plague for LFC for years to come if these two men stay with the club.- - - - -

They'll likely sell the club as a going concern....there will no doubt be a multitude of bidders as despite what might happen we'll still be an attractive proposition to someone.....providing they're happy with a half completed stadium!Originally posted by kurtangle01 View PostSo in other words what you're saying is that should we be unable to pay the debt off in 18 months time, which there's no way we could, the banks would look to sell off the sufficient assets, I.E. players, to get their money?
If that's the case then this deal is just sheer lunacy. Absolute madness."I'm going to sine your pitty on the runny kine!"

How can anybody justify anything when nobody knows what the facts are?Originally posted by SpeedyG View PostHmmmm, I attempted to gag no-one, others are trying to gag me. Insulting me etc etc.
I've just asked people to justify what they are stating as facts.
You have a problem with that? It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

We're talking about a scenario in which a re-finacne can't be arranged right?Originally posted by Biff View PostThey'll likely sell the club as a going concern....there will no doubt be a multitude of bidders as despite what might happen we'll still be an attractive proposition to someone.....providing they're happy with a half completed stadium!White liquid in a bottle = Milk

If they're not facts then don't represent them as such and don't claim X is inevitable on the basis of those "facts".Originally posted by tomasjj View PostFacts are quite hard to come by in these matters, mate.
We will just have to assume a lot, based on what we have seen the owners do and say so far.
It's bloody hypocritical, if a journo says something we want to hear we take it as gospel, if we don't want to hear, it's never believe anything you read in the newspapers, they're full of sh!t etc etc.The Crushing Machine MKII

I see the point you are trying to make though.

For Hicks and Gillett, assuming they cannot meet the interest payments or have sufficient saleable assets to cover the debt, then yes.Originally posted by Dhavlos View PostWe're talking about a scenario in which a re-finacne can't be arranged right?
Personally, I believe they'll sell out on/around that time. Like I said, despite what might happen we'll not be short of suitors if/when the have to sell. We are a very marketable asset in the right hands."I'm going to sine your pitty on the runny kine!"

If speculation and assumptions and whispers and rumours play a role in limiting the effect of the Hicks charm offensive, then they serve a purpose.
Hypocrisy is the least of our worries, wouldn't you say?
It's unfortunate we have to argue about this rather than who should partner Torres on Wednesday but this is the situation in which we find ourselves. It's not good because it's rude. It's good because it looks like it's good because it's rude.

Guess I just think the facts are enough to make a case. Not sure you should be judging people on the basis of untruths.Originally posted by Alpha View PostI don't think you are getting this.

I just find it VERY ironic. Importance or relavence has never been a barrier to posting on here beforeHypocrisy is the least of our worries, wouldn't you say?
True, if only the doomsayers would not make every other post about it. We get the point we understand your opinion. Now belt up, get behind the team, stop unsettling things, you are NOT helping the situation. H&G already know what you think about them. They are business men they will make decisions on the basis of profit only. To think that Tom being hysterical on here is going to make any difference is niave at best. It's unfortunate we have to argue about this rather than who should partner Torres on Wednesday but this is the situation in which we find ourselves. The Crushing Machine MKII
