We have absentee owners. It's not like we can egg there houses. They are sitting miles away and i seriously doubt they give two ****s about the protests. I'm not saying Macca is right, his defense of the Americans was rather misguided in my opinion, but I don't think he is "a cunt" or a "****ing prick". Frankly I agree with his first point we are always in the papers and it isn't because we are playing good football, and it's getting very, very tired now.

So I'm not saying that I disagree with the protests, i'm saying that it is a total joke that we are in the position that people feel this sort of action is necessary and I can't wait for this all to be over so i can concentrate on supporting my team without any uncertainty over our future, negative speculation, accusations of off the pitch antics affecting confidence etc. I just don't think that the protests will speed that process up.
A lot of people run a race to see who is fastest. I run to see who has the most guts, who can punish himself into exhausting pace, and then at the end, punish himself even more.

A number of people have been saying we should support the team in the match and protest before/after the game, we've done that today which is good IMO
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

I'm with Macca on this. Hicks is staying get used to it. If Rafa could only do his job properly none of this **** would have come to such a head. You think they'd be looking to replace him if we had been playing well???

Its coming across to me as a few nob heads trying to cause upset in the ranks, its obvious not all fans in the ground felt the same and its hardly the liverpool way to protest. Reminds me of the days when city used to try and get swales out. Lets just wait and see what happens, if come august there still hasn't been a spade dug in anger then is the time to go to town on them.

If he felt so passionatley about th fans not protesting then he should not give them the publicity.
            We come not to play.

If protests are made, let these be in the background out of the public domain. This should be dealt with the minimum of fuss. Deal with the board and discuss things with them. If it's done in a non restless manner, it will bring an air of control and confidence to negotiations without needing it to be restless and desperate.

The americans are here, we should try to oust them with the main priority being to support our team and not to provide an unnecessary distraction to them.

Sick to the back teeth of seeing fans moaning and jumping on every bit of negativity, be it on how we play or how Hicks is pussyfooting around our club.

Yes there are problems, but we should deal with them with more dignity.

well if it isn't then why bother to protest? I think we should be very careful, all this abuse aimed their way will probably harden their resolve to do things their way or if they get so pissed off they could decide to teach us all a yankie lesson and sell off our few decent players almost out of spite.

Americans don't like to be made to look stupid (they do this well enough all by themselves), but in all honestly I doubt they are even aware we had a game today.

McManaman just seems a total knobhead these days.

Anyone see that 'fan' they interviewed outside the ground afterwards?

"Terrible manager, he makes terrible decisions blah blah blah"

Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

If the fans supported the team during the game and then after took the opportunity to make a protest after they should be congratulated. Whether you agree with the protest is your own opinion, just as it was for those who chose to make it in the first place.

For me this sort of focused protest is exactly the way forward. If this is confirmed what happened I for one will be very proud because our fans are doing what they can on all fronts, for the team and the club as a whole. Well in

I just think a good amount of our fans are like that mate. Totally clueless.

Both Gillett and Hicks own other sporting 'franchises' who's fans may be interested to see the inevitable YouTube clips of today's protests.

Hicks and Gillett are businessmen and there must come a point where the value of their investment in the club, other existing investments, or future investments will start to diminish as an indirect result of the bad publicity that comes with fan protests.

I wouldn't say protesting alone will get them out but it could well be a tipping point in the reported negotiations.

What shocked me tonight was Sherwood's obvious dislike of us! It was palpable. What have we ever done to him? I thought pundits were meant to retain a little impartiality. Some of these ****s like Merson and Gray are having trouble concealing their delight at our recent failings.
