I think this has been one of MAIN problems with Agger injured, with Sami we have to play deeper meaning our midfielders are sometimes to far off to truly support the strikers, having a pacey centre back will go some way to helping overcome this problem.

I know and I agree, but I would be suprised if Skertel played in such a big game, given his lack of premiership experience, I think Rafa will bring him in fairly slowly this season like he did with Agger. Unless he really hits the ground running and after a few games is difficult to leave out, or we get and injury crisis

No thanks im comfortable with Hyypia. I was at the Bolton game in December and Hyypia was one of the best players on the pitch. Apart from 1 screw up by Reina, Hyypia dominated that area. Never let Anelka in

Skirtle struggled against Havant so i wouldnt put him in against chelsea.

I would start Riise because he is defensively stronger than Aurelio. If Arbeloa was fit I would have put him at LB.

Hyppia is playing some good stuff at the moment, and I'd defintely play him against the Chavs.

I'd stick Benny behind Torres, and let Gerrard and Mash battle it out with Ballack and company in the middle. Put Pennant out right, and see if he can knock another one past Cech.

I'd like to see Lucas set loose as well, he looks like a great midfielder in the making, his confidence is high and playing left midfield alongside Gerrard and Masher may put some steel into the left side.
